A gasoline card. Medical Travel for Son
I've never had to ask for charity in my life. I've worked since I was 13. But had to quit working several times since 2009 to care for my son F/T due to bone marrow failure (aplastic anemia) and subsequent Stem Cell Transplant. Cured! But the treatment killed his kidneys. Now I travel 3x per week for dialysis appointments and must purchase gasoline with a credit card. (Because I have no cash and can't work while caring for him and transporting him to an exhausting number of appointments in Providence and Boston on fuel to get my son dialysis until his kidney transplant in early 2014. Then he can go back to school, live a normal life, join a sport team, see old friends again.) The trust cost per gallon is outrageous when you consider i am financing it on a credit card with interest! |

Help Moving Out of State
I'm trying to move me and my 4 year old daughter back to California from Alabama. Jobs are very limited here and none of those that are hiring are willing to give me enough hours to make enough to support raising a child as a single mother. I have a pretty good bit saved up but it still isn't enough to get us to California. |

Money to get me and my children on our feet
Chase bank as been garnishing my wages. They've been taking so much that I can't make ends meet. And because of my credit, I can't get approved for a loan to pay off a settlement. I applied for food stamps and cash assistance, but the state feels I make too much money. My expenses total over $1500 per month and that does not include food, gas to get to work, child care, or leisure activities. I'm being forced to live off $1200 per month, risking losing my home, my car, and eventually my kids. |

Medication help
I am a disabled mother that is in need of medication. My husband just got back to work but they are holding a check. I am on medication for heart, blood pressure and COPD as well as other issues. However, these are my major issues. The $30 is what the copay won't cover. If anyone can help it would be appreciated. I am new to the site and noticed the chipin site closed? prescription co-pay and food for me and special needs son.
I am a disabled widow with a special needs son. He just turned 18 and lost his survivor's benefits from his fathers death. Now, all we have is my disability, and after paying the rent we had only $81 to survive on for the rest of the month. We have no food left, and prescriptions waiting to be picked up because we don't have the co-pay. We have sold most of our belongings at a yard sale, just to make it this long. There is nothing left we can sell. Please help with any amount. Thank you for reading my wish. |

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Title III "also protects employees by limiting the amount of earnings that may be garnished in any workweek or pay period to the lesser of 25 percent of disposable earnings or the amount by which disposable earnings are greater than 30 times the federal minimum hourly wage prescribed by Section 6(a)(1) of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938. This limit applies regardless of how many garnishment orders an employer receives."
So, if an employee nets $600 a week, under the 25 percent formula, the maximum garnishment amount is $150 (25 percent of $600). Or, using the minimum wage formula, the maximum garnishment amount is $382.50 (30 times the minimum wage of $7.25 is $217.50, which is then subtracted from the $600 net compensation). Therefore, since the rule says to use the "lesser" amount, the maximum garnishment would be $150.

Just an FYI tell CPS that they can put the kids in a daycare close to your home, they do have the means to do that. They usually have a waiting list but I know for fact they can do that much for you. (more)
Good Luck I'm still trying to get a hold of some 4 O'clocks myself.
My understanding is about under the age of 6 months or so, infants dont digest their food, there for getting no nutrients, I also know introducing foods too early, kids are more prone to allergies. Teeth are natures way of letting "parents know" its time to eat, A child can live and thrive on milk alone for the first year. Think back, in the 1700, 1800 there was no babyfood, infants breastfed until they got teeth and then ate what the family ate. (more)
I spoke with them about it and WIC says they dont do that for children under 4 months?? i dont understand why :(
