There are several organizations and institutions that offer donations to noteworthy causes. But don't we all deserve some kind of break? That's where Greedy or Needy comes in. It's a chance to grant everyday wishes to everyday people. Present your case to the world. You just might get your wish.

There are several ways to participate in Greedy or Needy.
- Join Greedy or Needy. This gives you access to all of the site's features.
- Make a wish.Wish submissions are entirely free of charge.
- Participate in the Community. . Make friends, send messages, have fun with surveys and games, and promote your favorite wishes.
- Rate wishes.Rate up the wishes you would like to support.
- Directly Donate.Make a direct Paypal donation to someone’s cause.
- Sponsor wishes.. Business, community, and personal sponsorships are accepted.
How does Greedy or Needy work?
- Participants submit a wish. It doesn’t cost a penny.
- Each wish competes against other wishes for views in either Greedy or Needy categories.
- Users directly support wishes simply through viewing them. However, they can also rate a wish while viewing it, to let others know which ones are compelling, and which can be avoided.
- Wishes are granted per category, according to the highest number of votes in the specific category.
- Participants with top wishes are contacted to collect their funds.
Who is eligible to participate?
Because we distribute funds, we required all participants to be over the age of 18.
Winners are selected through our user voting process. Users vote 1 to 5 stars on a wish (There is no zero star rating).
Each vote grants or denies that particular wish 'Wish Points' based on their rating as follows:

How much each user has participated in GoN also impacts the weight of their vote. Someone with full participation (100%), will have their vote count twice as much as a user with 0% participation. For instance, a user with 100% participation giving a 5 star rating will grant that wish 6 Wish Points (3 points * (1+100% Participation)), whereas a user with 50% participation will grant that wish 4.5 wish points (3 points *(1+50% Participation)).
The wish with the most Wish Points at the end of each week wins. It's that simple!
You can vote on a wish by clicking the stars/dots above the text that says "Rate this wish" when viewing a particular wish page.
Why should the Greedy Or Needy community decide which wishes are granted?
No Randomness - No Committees
Community members decide whish wishes are granted through viewing a wish. If, after viewing the wish, they decide that it should be granted by the community, they can rate it up to let others know that it has gained their support. If they think the wish should not receive continued community support, they can rate it down, thereby letting others know to skip the wish to support others.
Can I promote my wish to friends and family?
Of course. The more views your wish gets, the better chance it has of being granted. To link directly to your wish, just copy the URL that is listed on your wish details page. Use Link Promotes to reach blog, e-mail, and YouTube viewers.
Can I upload a video with my wish?
Yes. It's easy to promote your wish with YouTube. Just enter your YouTube video URL when submitting your wish.
Can I submit more than one wish per week?
Absolutely. Please keep in mind that entering the same wish more than once does not increase your likelihood of winning. All duplicate stories are automatically removed from the Greedy Or Needy website.
Is there a cut-off date for making wishes?
Wishes submitted before the current givaway closes will participate in the next round of voting.
You can edit your wish anytime. Go to your My Account and click the 'Edit' link next to each of your wishes at the bottom of the page.
I don't want to submit a wish. Can I still create an account?
For sure! Having an account with Greedy or Needy allows you to take advantage of all the other features and community aspects of the site. Many of our members find that it’s the strength of the community that underpins their entire experience.
We often have variable length campaigns as well as many special themed campaigns that last longer than normal. Usually though, Greedy or Needy grants two wishes every Wednesday afternoon (one from the 'Greedy' category, and one from the 'Needy' category).
How will I know if my wish has been granted?
Greedy or Needy will contact lucky recipients via e-mail and results are posted on the wishes granted page.
Recipients are contacted by Greedy or Needy to determine the most expedient manner of fund distribution.We prefer to use PayPal when possible to expedite payments.
Can I submit a wish for a friend? How do they receive their funds?
Yes of course you can submit a wish for someone else. If that wish is voted as most deserving by the community, you will be notified by e-mail to determine fund distribution.
Can there be more than one wish granted in each category?
Yes. If the fund is bigger than what was wished for, the runner up will also be granted funds. We keep going down the list of runner ups until all funds for that week are distributed.
For example, if a wish requested $200 from a $1000 fund, there would be $800 left in the fund, to be distributed to the second ranked wish (and so on) until the money from the fund reached a zero balance.
What are the Themed Challenges?
On a recurring basis, Greedy or Needy holds Themed Challenges which ask community members to submit wishes for a specific prize. We want you to tell the community why you deserve the prize involved over anyone else. Obviously, the more interesting and engaging your wish is, the better chance you have of being selected!
I don't live in the USA, can I still participate?
Absolutely. We have granted wishes all over the world!
Can I donate directly to a wish at Greedy or Needy?
Yes. 100% of all donations received are transferred to the wisher within 60 days of the donation.
Absolutely. You will receive 100% of all funds donated directly to your wish regardless if your wish was granted or not. In fact this feature will always be available for your wish even after voting has closed on that wish.
No. You simply submit your wish and the internet community decides if your wish is granted or not. Top wishes in each category are funded to the maximum of the current fund amount. Recipients are responsible for paying any applicable taxes on their prize, respective to the laws stipulated by their place of residence.

How is Greedy or Needy different from a lottery?
It's not a game of chance; it's a game of choice. Winners of a lottery are chosen by random draw. This means that participating in a lottery is a game of chance and probability. Which wishes are granted is chosen by peers. Based on the "The Wisdom of Crowds" theory, large groups of people are much smarter and more likely to make the right decision compared to an elite few; therefore we feel that the Greedy Or Needy community will allocate the fund justly. The more compelling your entry is to the community, the more likely you are to have your wish granted.
How do I know if someone's wish is legitimate?
Members can report suspicious or fraudulent activity by clicking Foul Play? at the bottom of every wish.
How do I obtain participation points?
You gain participation points simply by participating on the site! Many of the actions you perform will add to your score, including rating wishes, taking polls, leaving comments, and more. See a complete breakdown and how close you are to reaching the next milestones by clicking your participation meter at the top of the screen.
Why do some wishes have fewer views but more points?
The number of views on a wish is simply a tally of the number of unique visitors that have viewed that wish. The wish points are calculated from a combination of a user's participation points and the star ranking they voted for that wish. See How are wishes granted? for more info.
