To the people not wanting to stand behind our
troops I ask , Have you forgot 9-11 ? Have you forgot all the people whom died that day . Have you forgot the family's of the people whom waited and cried for there family to be found alive and meany where not ? Have you forgot all of our troops who have died fighting for freedom so that you may have another day ? Have you for got something that is still in my head ? When all this was going down I was 17 when 9-11 happened pregnant with my first child when the war started I was glued to the TV watching the news . I was so scared I had my mom go and get me so plastic for my house for the Windows . Have you forgot about the troops that died and the ones still over there and the ones going over there? (more)

Yes, please give our troops your support. I have felt a lot of anger from people about what our troops are doing in the two ongoing wars. Why? They are just defending our rights and doing their jobs. They are trying to stop the killing of other races out there. Too many people think our US troops are there just for oil. Maybe they should go read some of the military blogs to find out what the news isn't saying.

I do not support war - however...I understand the ramifications of terrorism allowed to grow, should no measures be taken to end it. That the measures taken now are the right ones, leaves great debate...worldwide.
I do support the troops and their families.
My father served in WWII &
my husband was a Vet...
I have his Memorial Plaque on the wall...
he gave his time to serve this country.
War serves no purpose, in my mind..
innocence is taken, lives destroyed...
unfortunately, in this world,
not everyone wants to live
a peaceful co-existence.
I think it's very important to remember that there's a difference between supporting a war that is not getting us any closer to capturing Osama bin Laden and those responsible for 9-11, and supporting the troops. I absolutely support the troops. I am terrified for every single one of them that risks death every day over there, and I'm so ashamed that our government has sent them, without proper safety equipment, to a country that had nothing to do with 9-11 to fight in a war that only benefits shareholders like Vice President Dick Cheney, who owns stock in Halliburton (who received most of the contracts for work in Iraq). Do you know how much our vice president has made from the war that our sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers are fighting in? It's here. [ link ]
Let's hope our troops are out of harm's way very soon. We've already lost 3,650 of our brave men and women in Iraq, and that's 3,650 too many.
And I'll ask you this: how many Senators' children have gone to Iraq? Not one.

Okay, so for my REAL comment.. I will never forget that day. My dad served in Vietnam, leaving my mom and older sister at home to worry about him, and came home to the venom that was so common against the troops then. No matter what I think about a war or whether we should be fighting it, I have nothing but respect for those who are willing to put their life on the line so that we can sleep in our safe warm beds at night.
I hope that you and Josh are doing well and I'll keep you in my prayers. *hugs*

I was a flight attendant for American when 9-11 happened. I will NEVER forget that day, it changed my whole life and affects me to this moment. While I wish that their sacrifice weren't necessary, I gladly support our troops abroad and at home.

I stand with our troops all the way!! I think the visions of 911 will be forever etched onto my mind. I remember exactly were and what I was doing when the news of the attack came. I feel though for all the men and woman who are serving our country and for all the families of so many men and woman who have lost thier lives fighting for our Freedom!!
