I wish for a van with a wheelchair lift.
It will make my life and my family's life better. The way it is now I have to be picked up and put into the car and I just had back surgery, so it's painful and it's not easy for my mom. Then she has to load my chair that weighs about 300 pounds onto a carrier on the back of the car, and if it rains I can't go anywhere life is so unfair when you are stuck in a wheelchair.i just once would like to be able to go and hang out with my friends are go to the mall with out it being so hard on my mom are so painful on me there has been times when i could not go to see my doctor because it rained so if anyone can help are knows anyone who can please let me know thank you all kaycee (more)

Your wish is worthy, though I fear it is too much to be granted by the Robin Hood Fund.
a friend of mine here in vermont is wheelchair bound and has cerebral palsy. the bus service that transported him around town recently cut their routes, and he was only half a mile short of getting to where he has physical therapy each week. HALF A MILE AND BUDGET CUTS WOULDN"T ALLOW THEM TO TAKE HIM. My friends and I got together and are lobbying to get this rule changed, but so far, they are not budging. I know from my friendship with him how hard it is for those of you who are disabled. He wants desperately to be able to carry on a normal life, but without things like vans with wheelchair lifts, the right equipment, and goverments that promote the rights of the disabled, this won't happen.

I have a friend who needs a wheelchair accessible van, I know how expensive they are but also how much they improved his quality of life.
