This wish has been granted!
A dream come true for my wonderful wife, an aspiring singer!
My wife Ieshia is a wonderful mother & wife...
We have been married for almost 4 years now. We have 3 kids ages 3yrs, 2yrs and 2 months. Ieshia is very talented she sings, dances, writes poem, writes her own songs, teach, designs websites and more! The talent that she posses is to much to type. Her dream is to become a professional singer and rapper in the hip hop & r&b entertainment industry. She and her mom shared this same dream but her mom died just a few days after her 7th birthday.. so her mom didn't even get a chance to come close to realizing her dream! She is the only child and her dad has been in prison since she was four years old and she's now 22 yrs old. Her grandmother raised her after her mother's passing and her grandmother passed away 2 days after her 18th birthday on the day of her birthday party and her grandmother's funeral was on the same day as her prom... My wife has no sisters, brother, aunts, or uncles only cousins in her family and only 25 family members total. In Jan of 2005 my wife and I claimed that year as our season of blesings but in August hurricane Katrina graced our new orleans home and we lost everything we owned my wife had a album getting ready to come out, poster designed etc. But everything was destroyed in the katrina water even our master copies of her music, posters, album cover etc. On top of all this we were stuck in the New Orleans convention center for 4 days with little to no food, water or protection.. we had to run from gunshots with our kids constantly and could not sleep. My wife has rewritten her songs and also added a poem about what we went through in Katrina.... We have no music for her songs, no publicist, no money for studio time, no equipment as we had before to boost her career. We know what we need to buy and where we want to buy the equipment we just don't have the money... That YouTube video really got me, I couldn't even finish it. I know what it means to need something so badly, people know it, and "No One" will help you. I am a musician too, and I know all too well that equipment is vital to our career. I hope you win. Hang in there, and believe. Everything will come together in some way.
Yes that is all she needs! A jump start.. someone to help .. As a loving husband I'm trying all I can! But we can't do much without money! We lost everything due to Katrina.. people have donated 2 imac g5's because she is a grapHIC DESIGNER AND NEED A COMPUTER! We still don't have a house we live in a very small fema trailer 5 to a bed.. So we realy need alot of stuff because we still haven't recovered
This brings a tear to my eye. Sounds like your wife just needs a little jump start into the industry, perhaps she can start it off by writing some songs and posting them on Youtube. She can gain popularity and someone may pick her up! Best of luck.

Rock n Roll Fantasy Camp - Paid Internship!

Job Description: We are currently in need of several interns to help out with our Hollywood Camp, taking place from Feb. 15-Feb.19 of 2007. The hours are long, usually about 16 hours per day, but each intern would be paid a stipend with meals included and gain valuable networking opportunities with some of the biggest stars in rock music. This year's talent roster will include Paul Stanley and Bruce Kulick (KISS), Brian Wilson (Co-Founder of the Beach Boys), Dickey Betts (Allman Brothers), Mickey Hart (The Grateful Dead), Steve Vai, Bret Michaels (Poison), Scott Ian (Anthrax), Jane Weidlin (The Go-Go's), Jeff "Skunk" Baxter (Doobie Brothers), Spencer Davis (Spencer Davis Group), Simon Kirke (Bad Company), Kelly Keagy (Night Ranger), and Mark Slaughter (Slaughter).
Job Requirements: You will need to perform basic administrative tasks, acting as personal assistant to the Production Coordinator and star talent. This includes helping each of the 12 camper bands in the studio throughout the day with whatever they might need (providing updates on the meal and/or shuttle schedule, fetching a guitar tech, printing and copying the daily newsletter for distribution, running various errands, etc).
Females are preferred; please send a photo of yourself along with a cover letter and resume explaining why you would be right for the job. You MUST live in the LA area to be considered for this opportunity, and please be prepared to help out for several hours on the 14th with setup and check-in. The camp promises to be an amazing experience to hang with industry insiders in a fun environment-you won't want to miss it!

I'll let everyone know when her album comes out! If we win this $5,000 tomorrow we're immediatly going to find someone to pay to put music to all 20 of her songs, record them in the studio and pay for the cd's to be pressed! Thanks for your support! then pay for marketing material sooo you'll be hearing her name in hollywood soon! One guy is charging us $150 to produce all 20 songs!!!!! thats kinda cheap in the music industry!

We were stuck in the convention center with our kids ages 2 & 3 for 4 days little to no food or water we had to pay a guy $10 for gatorade for our kids bottle
it was horrible... that's why my wife need to live her dream more now than ever because she wrote a long poem about what we endured in katrina that she wants to put on her album but we have no help financially!

As a Katrina victim, I can totally relate. This is a long hard road and the only way many of us are going to make it is to seek assistance from the public for certain specific needs.
