NOBODY HAS ANY FUNDING!I APPLIED AT MODEST NEEDS AND SENT IN ALL MY STUFF THRU THE PRESCREENING AND THEY DENIED ME!!I POSTED ON QAMBIO SO FAR I GOT A 40.00 DONATION THERE BUT IT HAS TO BE ALL DONATED BEFORE IT GETS SENT THERE,I DONT KNOW WHAT I AM GOING TO DO!I AM SO FRUSTRATED!!NO WORK COMP YET I AM GOING TO HIRE A LAWYER TO HELP ME WITH IT THIS WEEK!BESIDES MY GAS BEING TURNED OFF I AM FIGHTING MY ELECTRIC COMPANY NOT TO TURN ME OFF THIS WEEK,WOW IT HAS TOTALLY GOTTEN SO BAD FOR US!IF AYONE WOULD LIKE TO HELP OR HAS ANY KIND OF SUGGESTIONS PLEASE PM ME FOR MORE INFO!!!I AM LOOKING FOR A MIRACLE!!! I know exactly what you're going through. I was in that same situation with my electric 2 months ago. I had applied to DHS for emergency assistance, but all they could pay was $50. I went to a local organization and they gave me $200, but I was still $300 short. The day of the shut off I was on the phone with everyone possible to come up with the money. It was close to 100 degrees that day, so no power meant no air. One hour before the electric company showed up to turn me off, I had 2 churches give me the remaining balance. I got lucky. You'll be ok and will get the money you need. Just think positive (I know it's hard). Good Luck!

in minnesota u dont have to pay for a laywer up front on a work comp case,they take it of course only if they no its a good case then they take there money when u settle!!which is a good thing thanks for info huggsss becky
Red cross. Ask if they can suggest help because they did find me some numbers. Christian associates, united way, when you call the electric company tell them you have hot water problems and if they can suggested a place of help. Geez how are you going to afford a lawyer? Where I work if you are off more than 14 days they start paying comp. Sometimes its not workmens comp holding things up you might call them. Good luck to you let me know please.

Wow hun you have a high gas bill for it being summer I hope all the best for you on getting it turned back on . I know all about them gas bills they are bad in the winter if that is how you keep your home warm .

That happened to us back at the end of June. We were without gas for about two weeks. Man I sure hated those cold showers! Have you tried Liheap? We were able to get help through them finally. Good Luck and I'll be back when voting starts.
