I recently was asked wanted to give a new home to a sweet cockatoo who was abused by his owner.
Jack was bought by a young man who inherited "family money" He did 2 things when he got all this money, he bought Jack then spent the rest on "crack". The children who lived with him poked Jack through the bars of his small cage with sticks & the crackhead & his "friends" abused him The people who had him can't keep him anymore, the husband has just had a heart attack & his wife is diabetic & on blood thinners so they aren't able to handle Jack, so he has come to live with me. I love all animals & will care for him & love him. He needs a cage that gives him room to move and will be a safe home of a size that will give him the space a large bird needs. I have found on online with free shipping, but it costs 499.99. As I have mentioned before I am disabled on a fixed income & although I am able to buy food & treats & fruit & veggies for him a cage would take almost my entire months income from SSI.
Please, please help me provide sweet Jack with a home where he can be happy and healthy and loved finally.

Yeah thanks for down voting my wish greatly appreciated no offense i love animals too but i really didn't know you thought a bird was more important than actually getting myself and kids into a good stable home.
An abused animal is worth more to me than my feelings. I don't care if you like my wishes or not, but I sincerely hope you are able to get Jack a proper cage. Good luck.
In the meanwhile, it may be worth it to contact your local recycling group and see if anyone might be able to help. I've gotten some good stuff that way.

I guess I'm not alone here. Downvoting everyone else is not the way to gain support here. I had given you a 5, but when I saw you gave me a 1 for my nephews' headstones, I changed it.
Headstones for his sons is my brothers dieing wish. My brother is dieing!! All he wants is for his boys to have headstones, for closure, so he can rest at peace.
I love animals and have had all kinds of birds. I know personally how expensive the cages are. But come on. You expect to get support while you downvote everyone else?

You voted 4's and 5's on my other wishes, so I'll meet you in the middle and give you a 3. I rescue animals my self and know how expensive it is to care for one and nurse back to health, and birds are a very very special case because only select people know how to care for them.
I did find where you left me a one, but I understand that it's an option, so I'll change my 1 to a 3 since you were kind to my other wishes and the one you gave a 1 to isnt a need and its just a little naughty wish to help my friend so thats no big deal there.

I have also left my 1 star down vote on this wish, only because I have seen this member down vote with 1 star not only on my wish, but on many other members wishes also, and this is just not right. It doesn't matter how much you feel your own wish is the only one that should count, we should not be so mean about it that we go around and give 1 star to everyone elses wish.
Also, I feel that even on this wish, if you are going to give it 5 stars or not, do your voting as your heart tells you, but do not leave a comment on this wish for members to come to your wish and vote on it. Look at thrift stores and consignment shops I have found used cages there sometimes.... Talk to your local pet shop,, sometimes they have dented cages they might sell to you a bit cheaper....
