I just was released from the hospital after a heart attack.
I have no medical insurance, but luckily the state paid for most of that. After having to buy medications, and medication for being a diabetic, I have had no money for the past few bills. Missing work for this time hasn't helped. I really could use the money for the past 2 months of rent and a late car payment. I hope someone could help here. I have no other place to turn. (more)

I completely understand about the rent and car. I am sorry about your health problems. I am still catching up on rent, and my car is running like it is ready to break down. I just got a new job so I have to make it there but dont want to put money into the car cuz I have to give it to rent! Oh, joy! I hope you get the help you need.
you are too young to have gone through this! you have my best thoughts and 5 stars!
I am giving you 5 stars and lots of prayers! I know the position you are in, year before last my husband (29 at the time) was hospitalized for congestive heart failure. We are still reeling, that just seemed to start off a string of bad luck for us! But, I sure hope that you do well! Check out my wishes if you get a chance, and you will be in my prayers!
Good Luck you are so young to be having these kind of problems I hope you get better fast.
Mine cost me so much I had to file bankruptcy. Lost everything. Its hard. hang in there and get well. And, not all states offer any disability or assistance, etc. I actually heard California offers all kinds of stuff to people. Amazing. I would not live there though.
You got my 5. I know all too well how hard it is to catch up once fallen behind. Best of luck to you
five stars for a healthier and brighter tomorrow

Not sure what state you live in, but don't they offer employees disability benefits to keep them out of debt when they become ill? NJ, does - Have you applied to any state agencies for additional help? There is the Red Cross, Salvation Army, oh too many to mention right now. I wish you luck & hope you are in full recovery soon.
go to needymeds website for some of your medication needs. Also;if you contact Bayer directly they will send you a free meter and some test strips even though you are not on medicare. Some churches have funds to help people in a bind like you.ALso some counties have indigent funds that you can apply for to help with your rent money until you get back on your feet.Best of luck Pauly!!
thanks for the vote.
5 stars good luck to you

Leaving you my five...good luck Pauly!
Here's my 5---good luck.
Best of luck and I hope things start looking better for you. I have a 21 year old and among everything else he deals with he has a heart defect as well.
Your son's condition seems really rough. I will say that thank God that he has people like you and your partner for support and help for his care. How old is he now?

Hi Pauly, and welcome! I look forward to seeing you in the forums. Even if you get your wish, or even if you don't, please stay and get to know everyone. There is drama in the forums but there is also wonderful, kind, caring people there.
Nice to meet you!
Hi Pauly, Welcome to GoN, formerly RHF. Have you contacted your local Society of St. Vincent de Paul? It's a Catholic organization that sometimes assists with rent, utilities and/or food. They've helped me a couple of times. Sorry you're having such severe health issues at your tender age. I'll be praying for you, and there's also
