I am currently in the middle of a divorce and had to leave the house with nothing.
My boys are currently sleeping on a couch because I don't have beds for them. They also have to keep their clothes in bins because they don't have a dresser. We have a place to stay, just nothing of ours. Because kids grow so quickly, they are also in need of jeans. Over the years we have donated so much to shelters and charities and I hate it that we finally have to ask for something but I'm thankful that it's okay to ask. If you can't help, just keep us in your prayers. Thanks so much. (more)

You're definitely in my prayers!! I had to do just the same thing last fall; I was lucky enough to have a furnished home available, but I know how hard it is to leave EVERYTHING behind (my ex won't even give me my medication!). I wish you all the best during this transition; things WILL get better, and in the meantime remember that the good you've done will come back to you in spades. xoxoxo

It is bad when the tables get turned on you. For years I too had the money to donate or give when needed and I did so with so much joy. Now I wish I had it to share here..but as I said the tables have turned.

Oh goodness.. do i never know what that's like! when I divorced my ex-husband I had 3 kids.. and he kept ALL their clothing, Their beds, EVERYTHING and I got custody of them even! I would send them up in clothes I bought and could hardly afford (sometimes forsaking rent, bills and feeding myself) and he's keep them and send them to me in somethin filthy.. custody battles and divorces suck so much..
