Hi voters!
I'm a 32 year old single, disabled mom to a wonderful teenage son and a very spoiled poodle mix.
I have been wearing glasses since I was 13. I have astigmatism in both eyes and am horribly near-sighted. I last got new eyeglasses in 2002. Since then my prescription has changed and my lenses are very scratched up. Plus, the ends of my earpieces are breaking off.
In my state, my disability insurance does not cover adult eye exams or glasses. I have found a national program that will provide a voucher for glasses and lenses. I have been approved for this program, just need to send them my eyeglass prescription for them to determine the amount of the voucher.
The cheapest eye exam I have found is through Wal-Mart Vision Care. It is $79. That's all I need...just enough to get the exam so I can send away to get glasses. I am hoping to be able to get new glasses as soon as possible because if these old ones fall apart, I'm completely stuck...I can't drive without them.

I'm blind as a bat, too, so I know how it is to have to deal with getting new glasses. They are so expensive! Good luck with your wish.
