Rally the troops! You should totally Win! I hope you get a lot of responses. I will try over the week end. You have wonderful goals. (I have always wanted to care for disabled dachshunds, due to so many with back issues and having been through it with my Otis). This wish is close to my heart.
I take care of my moms 3 doxies. I have seen what can happen to their back. My mom's 4th doxie is with her. His legs had become paralyzed almost over night and he required spinal injections and some medications which did help but every now and then he will have a leg drag. I kept him with me for a long time but finally the place she is living allowed her to have one dog so she took him to live with her. I have one now who is showing the hump back signs that he will soon have back trouble. I wish they had doggy chiropractic in my area.
