Autism isn't something to be mourned, but a wonderful new step on the road of human development. The unique thoughts of Autistics have throughout history, and continue today to change the shape of our world. Your son, and others like him and myself, have a wonderful, untapped potential for greatness. It warms my heart to know that you're there to help him reach it.

my son has autism as well. sometimes I just wanna cry. I wish I could give you more then 5.
I know the feeling my oldest is Autistic and I dont really take him to too many places because of his public meltdowns. I am lucky because I have plenty of people to watch him because he hates to go into stores. The lights and people traffic really bother him, but when i have to take him I cringe.
