I have never really experienced unconditional love or what it was like to truly have a best friend until about a year ago.
Then I was blessed to meet Carol who we know here as Dolphinlady. It was an unlikely friendship that started in an even more unlikely way, but has become such an important part of my life that now, I am not sure how I have gotten this far along in life without her.
Carol is one of the most caring and giving people I have ever met. She has a bit of a gruff exterior at times but underneath that is a true heart of gold. I have never in my life had anyone so willing to love and accept me for who I am, to stand by me through thick and thin, or to believe in me like she does. She is actually more of a sister to me than a friend. She shares her heart with others as well and does so much to bring smiles, laughter, and comfort to the lives of those around her.
Carol likes to pamper herself now and then by getting pedicures and as a way of saying "thank you" for all she is to me, I would like to be able to give her the money to get one of those done.
There is no price that can be put on true friendship; I am not rich in material things but fortune sure found me when Carol came in to my life as my friend. (more)

I have a friend like this ..she is my soul support no matter what and loves me "warts and all" as she puts it. I wish she lived closer. So I understand this kind of friendship.
