You are absolutely right! We are hoping to get a van or a truck with next year's income tax return..we just couldn't swing it this year and our income isn't enough to be making car payments. The least expensive way to haul all this stuff is going to be with a trailer.

Next year we hope to get a pickup truck or a van with income tax refund. We could never swing payments on a vehicle so we have to hope we find something we can pay cash for...we only get about $2000 a year in tax refund so we have to hope for something in that price range and these days that kind of money doesn't buy you much.

There are problems with a carrier. My car is older and low (91 chevy lumina) and I have a steep unpaved eroded driveway. My car would never make it up the driveway with a carrier on the back especially if loaded. The carrier alone would come very low if attached to our car and would scrape speed bumps or or on dirt roads. When we looked into a carrier system the guy at the trailer store said he really would not recommend putting one on our car. We had a friend check this out for us thinking the trailer guy just wanted to sell the more expensive trailers...but friend said the same thing. He recommended a small utility trailer. I don't know if you have ever seen my family video...but it shows how my house sits up on a hill and how my driveway is. I included a vid link here. Tomorrow I can get pics of how my driveway is now and of my car. That might help with ideas about what I can do
