You have my 5 stars. I'm pulling for you. hey kids, in the meantime, you don't have to grind raw chicken for your dogs. The experts in my Border Collie yahoo group told me that raw poultry bones are soft and won't choke the dogs. Border Collie owners are about as "expert" as it gets. If you know anything about Border Collies, they usually end up abandoned or surrendered at shelters until they end up in the homes of "experts", because they require so much attention. So, I trust other BC owners as the last word in dog care and training.

You will get no argument from me. My pups all get raw chicken bones and all. My healthy cats can handle unground meats too. Most of my pet population is disabled pets and those are the ones who require ground meats....that and our own family. Ground turkey and chicken is expensive and all we eat is fish/fowl.

I have my grandmother old hand powered meat grinder. I love it! It still works and loves like the day she bought it! It saves us money believe me! We hope you get it this time!
I wish I could use a hand powered one! I used to have one that clamped onto a table but the thing never stayed clamped and my left hand doesn't work right so I can't hold it down to grind meat. Those hand crank ones though are great for cooked meats, you can make your own lunch meat spread.
