So back in 1994-1995, I attended a community college right out of high school.
I was working two jobs and going to school full time but still couldn't make ends meet. I ended up having to drop out of school to support myself, but dropped my classes after the withdrawal dates. As a result, I had to pay for the classes. Well, I never paid, and here I am 12 years later, wanting to go back to school for nursing. Who knew? They still have those records! I have to pay the money I owe. I have made some payments, but $400 still remains. The school won't even accept my financial aid application from the gov't until I pay the old balance. Please please please help my wish come true! I have dreamt of being a nurse for a long time and everyone always asks me why I don't go back to school, it seems silly to let $400 stop me from realizing my dream. (more)

Thanks!! I know $400 isn't alot of debt, I was working and going to school, so I managed to pay part of my tuition...and community college was alot cheaper back then. It seems so silly to let $400 stand in the way of my education, but that's reality...I just don't have it right now. BTW, those of you that remember my first wish, my husband and I celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary today! We aren't going away, but we have a nice dinner planned.

seems like the powers that be don't really want us to get educated-i've had nothing but trouble with my student loan-that i'm paying! good luck, and i hope you get back to school!
Thanks! I'm really hoping I can figure out a way to go back. I need a better job so I can take good care of my boys! I know I qualify for financial aid, I just need to get the stupid money paid...boy do I regret not paying it b.c. (before children) LOL
