'm a student at Henderson State University, and I'm going for my Bachelor of Fine Arts, with an emphasis on Digital Art.

The scholarship I have helps with living arrangements and food, but does nothing for my supplies and text books. Last semester my books ran close to $200 and my supplies ran $400. This semester my books ran $150 and my supplies $300. Each semester it really adds up, so any help would be appreciated. My parents help foot the bill, but anything I can get will help them out and put forth less of a financial strain on my family. This is not only important to me, but to my parents as well. I will be the first person on my dad's side of the family to go to a four-year college, so he's hoping I complete it. As am I.
My mom is disabled; her back was hurt on the job at Wal-Mart years ago, and there have been many complications in her health as well as many expensive doctor's bills. My dad is the only one in the household working, and he has to take care of all the expenses for himself, my mom, my sister-- a sophomore in high school-- and myself. I don't want to add to the debt we're slowly crawling into, so I'd be glad of assistance. (more)

try this: go to unitedway.org or call 211 from a land phone. They will give you phone numbers for free rent, free legal, free, electric/gas and free food. then spend trhe money on art supplies.
