I love my momma!
I have so many memories of when I was little, but one of the things that always makes me smile (especially
when I think my mom is mad at me lol) is this...
Back in the 80's, I used to watch that show ... Wonder Woman. You know, with Linda whatshername? Anyways, it was my very favorite show on tv. It must have been on in the fall, because when my dad and brother were away for a hunting weekend, my mom started this little tradition. I would go upstairs, put on my Wonder Woman underoos, put on my golden armbands (really, they were those cool 80's sweatbands), stick my crown on my head (really it was a plastic headband) and grab my lasso (you guessed it. It was really my jumprope).
While I was getting ready, my mom would be in the kitchen, heating up those little frozen egg rolls and making popcorn and milkshakes. Then we would sit down in front of the tv and watch Wonder Woman, eat our snacks and she would even let me run around trying to lasso bad guys during the commercials.
Now thats a great mom.
If I win the contest, I plan on taking my mom out for a Happy Meal. When I had my first daughter and I never had any money, we would always go get Happy Meals for lunch, even though we were grown ups lol, because they were cheap. Most of the time, she would even pay for mine ;). Then, with whatever is leftover, I will take her to our favorite ice cream place, Scoops, and buy her a single twisty cone.
