she has had to put a restrainging order on her babys father b/c he threw her out of a moving vechicle.
she could really use the HUNDRED but i put 80 so someone else could win as well.
my lil sis is 22 and she has a LONG road ahead of her but finally we hope its OVER.(with him)
it has never gone this far.( like the seprating and the court involved and all). SHE HAS BEEN TO SCARED TO PUT HIM IN JAIL CAN YOU BELIEVE? b/c of his record he will go for 3 or 4 yrs.
she has court friday to fight for her apartment for her and my 22 mth old godchild. she is a good mom but he has beat the crap out of her NUMEROUS times. she currently has road rash from falling out while th car was goin like 25 mph and she has a black eye from being punched in the face. all this happened while i was in the hospital taking care of my godchild that had her tonsils, adnoids, out and tubes put in. =( ive been taking care of them since last wed.
we told the physician what happened ,thats y he ordered my godchild stay over night.
please send prayers that she will be strong enuff. we have child services on our side and she hasnt gone back to him yet.
and i didnt want to really write about this but you kinda need to know to try to help her =(

everyday needs like diapers. i pick her up shoes here and there when i can. i loveeeeee garage sales but need to go again soon.
she is also telling us when she needs to use the potty so we put her on the big toilet and she uses it!!!
she needs a real BABY potty.
not to mention her b/f screwed up her car . he threw it in park goin 50 mph !!!!!!!! uh
arent they the CUTEST!
this was last thanksgiven my lil sis bringing her around to see family b/c once again he wasnt there , he was treating them bad again =(

Well, here I am being picky, too. The category has nothing to do with the father being greedy. It has to do with whether the things being wished for for the child is a need or if it is greedy. The basics are a needy wish. If you were asking for a ton of toys for a child who already had their NEEDS met then it would be greedy. I know this all frustrated you, but this truly is a needy category wish.
That being said, I do wish the best for your little sis. A young woman who is that beautiful and has so much promise does not need a man like that at all. And is that how she wants her daughter to grow up? Witnessing these things? I was in a similar situation with my oldest son's father and I left the first time it happened. I wasn't going to give him a second chance to scar my son for life. (emotionally). I hope you can convince her to get the help she needs. I will be back when I do my round of voting.

About the help with diapers, check with any local crisis pregancy agencies, also churches, and any shelters for battered women. I know for a fact some crisis pregnancy centers help with diapers, clothes, etc, as I used to volunteer at one. Still praying for her so hard!! Get all teary eyed when I think of what she has gone through. Wish I could chat with her, tell her my story, and show how brave she really is!!

thank you my dear sweet caring friends. im not use to looking to this places for stuff like this. i do believe we get wic and state helps with daycare but she still has to pay i believe $85 everyother week. gets pulled from her pay ck,
i guess we reallyyyyyyyyyy want a potty (its so cute she says poo poo when she has to use it and we sit her on the big toilet she isnt even 2 yet and sometimes she uses it!)
and tell me how to get her diapers. i dont have a baby i know i suck at this.

Best of luck with the situation at hand. As others said it is the BEST thing that they are no longer together. Please help her to stay STRONG and NOT cave in and forgive him. If she does, it will only continue until something worse happens whether it be hospitalized or even death. It's obvious the guy needs some help. Stay beside her thorugh this and encourage and support her...if she can make it past this she will be not only safer but better off and she will eventually if not already look back and ask herself what she was thinking.
Try contacting your local WIC office, most times they have lists of organizations that can help with clothes or food, head start applications or they could tell you who can get in touch with. Also the welfare office may be of help. Or you can also try your lcoal library and or churches. Even a local elementary school has a list of resources. You could even try the local volunteer fire department too. Don't be afriad to ask, there's nothing wrong with asking for help! Don't let that stop you, think of the end goal that will be accomplished :o)

I believe this one of all, should win. And I agree with others, it should be in the needy catagory. I think it would help her stay strong if you won this for her, so she can see how many people are on her side and care. I know from experience there are so many emotions involved, it is very hard. ok idk what a birthright is so i guess your not from here lol. and thanx she has her hands full. even when she was with him. he didnt but her diapers or pay her daycare b/c thats where my sis works they pull it right outta her ck and god knows she dont make much MABYE $6 an hr if that . so shes not left with much. and ive already seen my godchild with a rash when i went to change her diaper. i thought it was b/c it wasnt being changed enuff but someone sd it could be antibotics.
she was always on em for the ear infections.
Good luck to your lil sis. I used to be a battered woman and she is doing the best thing for her and her kids by leaving him. She needs to have the courage to follow thru in court for all of their safety.

aww... Im so sad for her but let her know that leaving him is a big step in the right direction- for her and her baby girl- that baby needs to know that is not an acceptable way to let people treat you.
Im also a 22 y/o mommy and I know its rough being young with kid(s). Id offer clothing help since her daughters a bit younger but Im afraid all I have in her size is the wrong season.
If theres a birthright near you, or even close enough that it wouldnt cost a fortune to get to- they will help with diapers, wipes, cups, a pottyseat if they have one, shoes, clothes (for both mommy and baby) and even give vouchers for beds/mattresses for baby/toddlers if you qualify-Im sure she would.
Someone posted about social services having a program to help people fleeing abusive situations monetarily. Have her look into that. I will be keeping her and her baby in my thoughts and I really hope she can get out of this and into a better situation.
