I live in Slidell Louisianajust 20 miles east of new Orleans.
I'm a single mom and I have two silly little girls, and though we love nature we dont like it so much when our living room wall turns into a waterfall.
We love to swim, but We're not too fond of our living room floor turning into a tide pool. Every time it rains we have to pull back the carpets completely because the landlord cant get the leak fixed. I cant afford to move into another apartment and the landlord wont move me without charging me new deposit and rent because the lease here is month to month.
My daughters and i are trying to improvise by being creative when it rains(which is often). My daughters try to see our living room as a natural water park, but i tell them please dont brag to your friends at school or they may want to come play. ;p So I have to raise 2000 for rent, deposit and transfer of utilities to a new apartment, and I havent a penny to my name...though I could probably take a few water bottles and attempt to sale natural spring water, or charge admission to my apartment for children to play. ;)
We're trying to be posotive about it, but truth to tell the mildew in the walls makes for bad allergies with my youngest daughter whom has asthma as i do. So please consider. =) The only way I think its greedy is if i say turn my waterfall and livingroom tidepool into a built in garden pool with a fountain. ;p Which would be nice actually =) (more)
