Rally the troops! You should totally Win! I have called her doctor, they can help, but not with a months supply. They have quite a lot of patients. They can help with a weeks worth. She has a 2 week supply left, plus a week from the doctor before I have to have the money for a refill. Maybe this isn't the place for friendly people.
Please speak with your pharmacist for a list of free medication programs. When my mother needed meds CVS in Clearwater SC offered her a list of programs where she could get help with her medications. She got help until her Medicare prescription thing kicked in. Those programs she was offered only help if you have no prescription insurance so they don't help with copays. Also she couldn't get certain brands, but had to accept generic or substitutes as long as it would not jeopardize her health. It helped her tremendously.
Your local city/county/state welfare agency should also have lists of programs that will cover prescriptions for those who have no prescription insurance.
Can you child get on a Medicaid program as categorically needy?
I have an epileptic son who takes Carbmazapine (Tegretol) so I understand the concern.
My daughter does have insurance and the medication she is on is depekote and there is no generic prescription yet. There is no program to help us here. This is just a tough month. We had to move had to come up with a dposit which is unexpected expenses, and we have already had to skip my prescription this month and I pay $369 co-pay for my 1 prescription each month. I probably should just delete my wish.
This wish is a very deserving wish!! Come on all... Vote Vote Vote Hi M! I hope you are able to get the money needed for your daughters meds. I can relate to this more then you know. Good luck.
