I'll never forget little Ashley, a sweet baby with leukemia.
I only "knew" her from her mom's wishes right here on GON, but her face touched my heart. Last October, her mom made a wish here on GON [ link ] that her cancer had not returned. Such a beautiful baby & she had to go through so much in her short but amazingly sweet little life. For those of you who don't know, only a little over a month after her wish was granted, Ashley went to be with Jesus.
One of her last holidays was Halloween and according to her mom's myspace page myspace.com/findacureforashley , she loved it so very much! Her mom has started a foundation called "Ashley Halls Healing Halloween" in honor of one of her daughter's favorite days. She is collecting NEW children's and baby's Halloween costumes to give to Rainbow Babies and Childrens Cancer Floor in the hospital Ashley was in. They have to be new because of the fragile immune systems of these little ones. They will be given to all the sweet little babies & children who are in the hospital & may be celebrating their last Halloween.
If I win this wish, I will spend 100% of the winnings and more to purchase halloween costumes and send them to Ashley's mom. Because it is early in the season, I will be able to get many more costumes now than in a few months when prices go up.

I think this is a great wish. It has to be hard enough for these parents having a child that has cancer. This will give them some happiness for a day. I hope we can pull together as a community and grant this wish. If it doesn't win this week please try again.

My heart goes out to Ashleys family, I know they must miss her so much. I will mail some costumes as well when our stores have them. Halloween is my favorite holiday, the magic of children pretending to be anything they want, and rewarded with treats, and I would love to help honor precious Ashley's memory.
