I am trying to get further training to get my dog, Dusty, certified as a service dog.
I met with a behavioralist who recomended the next step should be to go through a series of classes. They are $25 a class. So this would be really helpful in paying for 4 classes. The series of classes will prepare her to get her Canine Good Citizens Certificate. The next step will be to work with the trainer on the Specific Tasks that she will do to help me. Once she masters these she will be able to be certified. My doctor has written a letter stating that I need a service dog, she helps me tremendously, getting her certified would be a great asset in public access and the specific skills she would be trained in. I could not afford to buy a service animal, so I adopted Dusty, hoping that I would be able to train her to be my service animal. If you have any further questions please feel free to send me a pm.
