My mom is going through a very rough time.
She's fought cancer seven times now. The chemo and radiation treatments have cooked part of her heart. She is always tired and always sick. The last round of cancer, the docs had to remove a good portion of muscles and lymph nodes. She has been cancer free for about a year and a half. Now she's going through another round of sickness. The docs think that she is in pre-diabetes and that she may have cancer back again. She does not have many things left to remove. I hate this horrible illness that sucks the life out of her.
Mom is only 56 and she is one of the most amazing people! Even sick, she tries to remain upbeat. What I would like to do is send her one of the fruit bouquets. Mom loves the fruit and it is easy for her to eat. They took her teeth in the last round of cancer and her gums are always too swollen for her to wear the dentures. Her favorite is dried fruit, but she can't eat that any more.
I know this will make her smile. My mom is one of the most important people to me on this earth. I have been so out of it lately trying to keep her happy and smiling. Can everyone please say a prayer that she gets through this okay? I don't know what I will do if the Lord takes her up now. I'm not ready for that and I know she isn't either.
She just needs smiles, prayers and a lot of love. I know that she can get better...She just has to. The docs say that with all that her body has been through, she's not going to be able to take a whole lot more. I know this will make her smile. She deserves to have some happiness.
