We have been recently told we have a really good chance IVF could bring us our much longed for child but that the cost for
this chance is $12,000 we are trying everything we can to raise the funds as the thought of having to give up because of money is too heartbreaking, i dont want this wish just for myself but for my wonderful husband who looking at him knowing i could be the reason he never gets to have a child and would be wonderful grandparents who cried with us when we realised it could all be over for us. if you cant grant our wish please keep us in your prayers. My husband and I are suffering from infertility ourselves and while we were blessed with one child nearly 6 years ago, we have basically given up hope of conceiving anymore w/o IVF treatments which we can not afford.

I totally understand this wish. I cant have children either. We tried as many fertility treatments as we could afford but they do get expensive and we finally had to stop. I adopted 5 wonderful children through the foster care system and I could not love them more if I had given birth to them myself. I hope this wish comes true for you and that you can have a child but if not remember there are many many children out there who need a home and parents who love them. Good luck.

But there is nothing that compares to carrying your OWN biological child and giving birth. I can understand that you (and many other women) want to experience this and I pray you get that chance. Best of luck dear Aunty. Ignore those who make stupid comments about putting money to better use...they obviously have not experienced the pain and struggle of IVF. We were lucky and it worked for us first go. But I remember the fear of doing a budget and realising that we could only afford 3 attempts. To know that only money stands in the way of your dreams of obtaining your basic right is frustrating. Hugs to you and your DH.

Aunty deserves a child more than anyone I know. A child WILL be lucky to have her as a mother one day soon, rich or poor. I was brought up that love is whats important, not money. IVF costs alot of money, and needs to be paid in full at time services are rendered. That being the case it is hard for most to come up with that kind of money at once. Especialy when you do the procedure more than once. I did IVF and had it not take the first time it would be hard to keep putting that kind of money out in a one month time frame. The comment about being selfish, she is the most unselfish person out there. And whats funny is that I have never met her. lol.
It's not about who deserves a child and who does not; that is, quite frankly, ridiculous. We don't always get what we deserve, do we?
I do understand your heartbreak as we cannot have children, either. Have you ever thought that perhaps you should be able to afford the treatment to afford the child, though? You can adopt a child from foster care and get the tax credit which basically pays for the adoption itself. You might want to look into that option.
While this is not a bad thing, it is true that having children is an inherently selfish act since the children do not ask or have a desire to be born. The degree of selfishness varies, of course. I am not saying you are being selfish, of course, but I do think that there might be better ways for you to bring a child into your life.
You truly deserve it.

We have looked into adoption, particularly poorer countries with a huge amount of abandond children did you know it costs anything from $25,000-$45,000 to adopt these children even through a charity.Also the Hague treaty has put on hold new adoptions from many countries while they redo the language and laws also the US is thinking about stopping adotions from certain countries (of course the ones in most need of loving homes).They only have older children in the US not something we feel is right for us. i appreciate your opinions thank you for taking the time.

I can't think of a more supportive, selfless individual. She is generous with her feelings, advise, support, etc to everyone including those she doesn't know all that well or long.
