Ok I am going to try this again, but this time I have posted it under naughty because last time several people told me it
was not something I needed that I only wanted it. Anyway while working here at the ranch my horse fell with me breaking the tree in my saddle and tearing the leather up, causing it to be unusable. Right now I am using a friends saddle, but I can not keep it much longer as he will be needing it when people start gathering their cattle to work them. To keep my job I have to have one as soon as possible seeing how I use a saddle at least 4 days a week. If I do not get it replaced soon I will not have a job, which means I will not be able to provide for my wife and three kids. I only make$1250.00 a month and by the time I pay bills and buy all the diapers and things for the kids it just does not leave much for anything else. I am not asking for alot, most saddle cost around $2500.00, but I have found a company that is willing to sell me one at a very reasonable rate. They are willing to let me have it for $625.00 plus the shipping cost. I do not care if the saddle is a new one of just a used one that will get me by. Alot of people do not understand why the ranch is not responsible for replacing the saddle, but on any ranch the ranch hand is responsible for furnishing all of his equipment, and the ranch will furnish the horses but the ranch I am on will not even furnish the horses I have to furnish my own.. I normally would not ask for help, as I do not like having to depend on others but this is one time that I do not have a choice.The picture is of the saddle the company is willing to let me have at great price I really need this so I can provide for my family. I hope you can pull this off this time. Since my hunband works on a ranch I know what you are saying and what you are going through. People need to understand that a saddle is the lively hood of a cowboy as it is the main equipment used. We really need to find some way to get more peole here to vote and help you win. Donations would be great also, and I would donate but as you know on a cowboys salary it is almost impossible to even survive.
What you are asking for is a very modest amount for a saddle of quality. I am surprised you can get it so reasonable. I wonder if it might not be cheaper to have your old one repaired, but I suppose you looked into that already and it wasn't. I understand needing to have your tools to do your job and admire a guy who can sit a saddle and actually work a ranch. Wholesome and hard work. I give it a 4 and I would love to see someone put some donations in here. We need to recruit some members who have some spare cash in the bank. Generous ones. This forum has a few thousand members. I don't know if this forum allows this sort of thing but you could give it a shot. Basic membership on delphi is free. There are a few other horse geared forums on delphi that you could try as well. Good luck to you.
Recruiting is tough, unless you have a base of friends and family you can get to sign up and vote for you. As for donations, unfortunately, whenever I see a donation being made it is usually for one of those dumb joke wishes and the donation is a game. I wish I could help with the cost of the saddle, unfortunately, my finances are in the - area of the charts. But I do hope you get the saddle.
