I am asking for help with getting clothes and christmas presents for some of the high school students at my school.
We had teachers donate clothes to our school "closet" for kids at our school who have no money. I am a guidance counselor and have had students in my office crying because their friends always showed off their new clothes and cell phones but they don't have any money. We received clothes for many of our students but there are 4 students left that I would like to help. 2 are boys that wear at least XL shirts. All of the shirts we had donated were mostly mediums and larges. I would love to get one of my senior boys a couple new shirst. I have only seen him wear 2 different polo shirts all year and both have holes in them. There is another boy who goes to school full time, goes to adult ed after school and is the only one that has a job in his family. I would like to get him a new pair of shorts. His dad told us that he missed school before because his clothes were dirty and he needed to shower. They are only allowed to shower a couple of times a week. The last 2 students I want to help are new students to our school. They have been moving around a lot because they are homeless and have been living in their car. The are renting a home for the time being but the girl told me that last year they didn't get to have xmas. I would like to get each one something. We have a store called Ross here that is affordable name brand clothes. I can get popular shirts and shorts for around $10. It's like Marshalls and TJ Maxx. Thanks for reading my wish. (more)
