Actually, he would get about 194 dollars less than his needed amount. That may seem like not that much when RHF is giving out 1000 dollars a week, but in the real world that is a LARGE amount. How do you think he is going to make that amount in a few weeks with his children to support? That's why I gave Ranch Hand a 5 and jensplace a 1 to counteract your voting, Lies. She can always try next week, but this man is doing it for his job, or else he gets fired.

Liesl got all of the RHF money plus all of the donations, this guy should get the same, don't you think? This is his job afterall, his very existence depends on it, much like Liesl's stemcell transplant, no?

I was told that the amount he would receive minus the 2nd place wish was enough. Perhaps that person was mistaken?

Liesl, He asked for $700. Even with the $505 win plus the $126 in donations, he still will not have enough. But I'm sure it's a lot better than nothing. =)

I meant, how do we find out how it works with first and second place winners if the first place doesn't use it all? Does the donation amount get taken out too?

His full amount is for 700 dollars. He received 126 dollars in donations, so 500 + 126 = 626. That's still closer than the 500 - 105 = 395 + 126 = 521 he would get if Jensplace won.

I removed my vote from Jensplace and changed it to a one, I in turn changed my vote here to a 5. It's too bad she has such a good friend like you to help her out. Nice work Liesl!

I have nothing agains Jen or any of the other wishes.

Liesl linked everyone to RHF through delphi to the heavily visited forum ISLE OF WHACK. And then she came here and made a comment of voting down a man who is wishing for something for his job so her friend could win to look for a date through match.com. THen she says it isn't trying to be malcious

I'm done posting here on this wish. I just wanted to even out the playing field. She's playing dirty on a well intended site and it's BS. Her friend should reapply just like he did if her wish is voted down and they can rally their troops fair and square. I'm done posting on this wish just wanted to make it clear that Liesl was being kind enough to drag all the drama off delphi onto this board.

A tack store owner has told me that if I win this, he will let me have a saddle on credit, if I will sign a promisary note, and get him paid within no more than two months. I have bought some of my equipment from him and since he knows where I work he understand the situation.

THank You... This is very important to me and my family.. Finding a new job in this area would be almost impossible, and all of us really like it here....

I really enjoy my job, but more than that it is a good life for my kids. We live in a very unpopulated area, the school has maybe 150 kids in the entire shcool. There is not alot of hassle about drugs and the normal things you get in a big shcool. I love my work, but I love my family more and do not want to have to pick them up and move them from a life they seem to enjoy as much as I do..

Well they might, but it would be kinda hard to rope a cow bareback

OK, negative prop me if you want, but Ranch Hand and I are Both in Texas, and I know a lot of horse people and just may be able to get him another loaner that he can use until this wish goes through and he gets the money. Remember, if he doesn't have a saddle in 2 weeks, he is out of a job. A win here takes like a month to get. So if you don't like what I said, fine. I try to help whenever I can.
