Here's the thing.
I have a problem with getting across what I am trying to say sometimes without having it sound like a personal attack. Even if I am offering someone the benefit of my own experience it sounds like I am attacking them. I need to find a better way to communicate so people can understand when I am trying to help them, and not think that I am against them.

Hi Shane. I think that your headline thingy is part of the problem. It sounds negative and accusatory to start with. Even if you've voted 5 stars, the 'trying and being honest' sounds...confusing. Do you mean trying your best AND being honest, or trying to be honest? If that's confusing, then add the first part to it, try to combine them into a quickly understood thought (what a headline is for, even in a newspaper) and it leaves some ambiguity as to whether you're telling the person that they really don't deserve to win, because they're not honest.
Can you reword it? Something like "Win or lose, an honest effort will be rewarded" or something like that?
I am simply saying that winning isn't the only thing, trying AND being honest IS.
Winning isn't everything, trying and being honest is. get it?

In other words, exactly what your wish states...a desire for clarity of communication, is clarified by restating the communication without considering modification. Got it.
BUT, this wish however wasn't about clarifying my Headliner for everybody, it was about the fact that I have a tendency to start typing a comment without thinking it through first, and often find myself insulting someone's intelligence or unjustly accusing someone of what I perceived to be wrongdoing when it wasn't. This leads to my having to apologize and retract my statement and all sorts of messes. I am sure by this point you fully understand what I am talking about, right?

I understand where you are coming from. Sometime it is just hard to find kind words, or a nicer way of saying something in the heat of the moment. I too am guilty of opening mouth inserting foot or should I say FEET!! Ask your wife! I just have to say what I am feeling. We can't help it if we are honest!! :) Everyone is entitled to there own opinion. To each his own!!
