Lilly13 If you had read my story and the comments below you would understand why they can not do the surgery.And like i said CHOP referred her to another state for surgery.The Specialist will not come to CHOP. I wish he would then all problems would be solved. But please read the story and the other comments. As i see you are new here. Chrissy, Why are you so defensive about this....Lilly13 was only trying to help you out....by asking a legitimate insurance question. I have been reading all of your posts and do find this very unusual that the insurance company will not cover this when the physicians within the network cannot do the surgery. I know for sure if you would go into an emergency room anywhere in the usa and needed care, you would receive it, network or not!
I think you owe it to this board to let them know the real reasons why you cannot get covered!

I was not nasty i just explained this nurmeous times. If you read down below it has been answered many times and in past wishes thats all i said. I did not mean to come across as this way i just was explaining that in my story this was written. The doctor will not come to Children's Hospital . He is a specialist in New York That deals with only tumors. We have been to many doctors in our area as well as when she was Hospilized for almost five months. During the time she was in the NICU for almost five months . They only observed it and keep her on medications and comfortable. They referred us to this specialist in New York City. He has his own practice and works only with serious and unuasal cases.She was chosen under this. The insurance will not cver out of state out of network. And any specialist. She has this condition being monitored through them but because of the seriousness and rare condition they can not do it out of Chop. This doctor sees patients all over the world and out of the country. He is suppose to be one of the best doctors for this. My insurance will cover her to see a doctor in Hershey Pennsylvania to experiment on the tumor. He has never dealt with this and because its with in the brain and there has been hemmoraging i prefer to have some one who knows and has dealt with this before. When she has the surgery and recovers better she will be moved to Chop for full recovery. At this point my insurance will pick up from there. When shes in Chop. We have the Congress working on this and senate to help. But the only thing we have gotten through them is an company called Angel Flights to provide her transportation to the surgery and as much needed appointments to go. They only take critical sick children who can not drive in a car long or need fast treatment. She was approved last week for this service. We are very thankful for that. We have tryed everything and anything to get this doctor to come here or insurance to cover. And i will not happen. To even be seen by this doctor we have to have the money for the appointment. We have the local media involved and fundraisers to start. She has a web site there is a link on here for donations to her. Stress is not the word. There is alot of stress to. But everyday fighting with insurance gets me so upset. I just hope this works out for her. In a year she will be running around and playing. Cant wait for that day!!

I do not agree why would you let this person get to you. I just do not need the trouble from who ever and nasty emails. I have enough stress going on in my life. And worries to worry about. And when i get a chance to come on its actually my time to talk to all my friends that i met here. It is one thing right know i enjoy. I'm so glad to hear that. I'm one of the patients that Angelflight flies to NY for Medical. I"m also a volunteer for them to spread the word about these wonderful Pilots that give their time and planes to help those in need. Good luck with everything

That's a very good idea!! When she's older and much better, she can sit and look at all the people who prayed for her now. She will see how loved she is.
