HI, I found a mantis tiller at a yard sale for 10.00 and it looks almost new.
the guys said that it just needed a new primer button, the old one was torn off. Anyway I was able to get the button for 5.00 and my husband put it on. He got it running but it just idles and when you try to give it throttle it chokes out and stalls. We did put new gas in it and a new spark plug but that didn't help. It has got to be something simple I just can figure it out. my husband isn't mechanically inclined unless it has to do with computers. the repair shop charges 40.00 just to look at it. so I am guessing it will be around 100.00 to fix it.
thanks for voting for me (more)

You got my 5 stars, good luck getting it fixed!
good luck
I gave you my 5......good luck!!!
Good luck :>
Sending best wishes your way!
I used to repair those things for a living. Chances are the fuel filter is clogged from what you said. The filter is inside the tank on the end of the hose. You have to get a piece of wire to fish the hose out. Remove the filter and try to see if it will run, if it does, put a new filter on there and you are ready. Part less than $10
Good luck, I gave you my 5 stars!!
Goo dluck. I use mine all the time
Good luck to you.
Good luck.
Hope it's something not too expensive!! Mine's awaiting a $200 repair. Of course, when my Dad bought it (8 years ago) it was a $700 tiller. We need a resident tiller repairman!! (And I need a brother that won't try to till a former blacktop parking lot and ruin my tiller...) With veggie prices the way they are, you could plant onions to sell by the roadside and make the money back in not much more than growing time!!
Good LUck
This is how I grew up, tilling the soil with my bare hands. Giving you 5, good luck :>
Good luck to you!
ooops! I accidentally removed you from my friend list! I resent a request to add you, sorry! Clumbsy fingers!
Good luck, you've got my 5. Maybe if you included info about your garden people would vote more? I always vote for tillers :).
Great Wish Good Luck!
Make sure the choke isn't on.
If you can give me the specific model # off the machine, I will look up the user's guide and give you some help in getting it running correctly if I am able to.
Most of those small motors with the Bulb primer, also have a fuel tube that drops into the bottom of the fuel tank, and if it gets clogged, you have to remove the tank and clean it all out. This usually happens if it gets set up for the winter with Gasoline still in the tank. You might also try putting about 2 Tbs of Gumout or Berrimans Carb Cleaner in with the fuel. and shake it up real good then prime it again and try it. That worked for me a few times.
Either way, 5 stars, but you have to promise to plant some Okra!! LOL
good luck getting it fixed!
It might possibly be a stopped up carberator
Hope you get this!
I like seeing someone who's not afraid to get their hands dirty! You will be blessed with the bounty you frow in that garden!! Gave you 5!

Doing a bit of gardening myself. Good luck.
Whoops, tried to give you a 5, but hit 4 on accident- Good Luck!!
Good luck.
Fix mine too! I love to till my garden, except mine won't start. :-(( It's a cheapie Ryobi that seems to have given up disturbing soil and now it's taken up clutter contributions, perhaps foolishly thinking it can deduct them from its taxes. Stupid tiller.
Have you looked for a used book on small engine repair?
gave you 5 stars good luck
5 stars on fresh veggies.....
I'll be back
