Thanks Sockatinie. Apparently not everyone understands it's easier to pull up links on the internet than it is to actually call and or run around without phones/gas for vehicles, only to be told the services are limited to once per year and/or not everyone qualifies. That person has already been reported several times to the mods, hopefully eventually they will take action. Although she says she wants to leave this site, she keeps coming back over and over making new names and harassing people with her negativity.

Shout it from the mountain tops! You should totally Win! You should also look in your community for free foodbanks, and other charitable organizations. Where I live there are some, that will help with bills too. Also you can call electric co., and work out payment plans sometimes. There are also income based programs with utilities. check it out.
Thanks Akita, The problem is those programs are set up for one-time help, but many in our society are waiting on permanent disability or WC, or are just plain poor, and don't qualify for some or all of those. Actually, I have received assistance several times on a one-time basis, but with no income, it's pretty impossible to survive. Most places like that will help on a once a year basis. I do very much appreciate the information, though, because there are always other resources we're not aware of, and this is a great forum for sharing them with everyone. I appreciate all the support, and I hope people who weren't previously aware of the pervasiveness of poverty in our society have been enlightened. Hugs, Lisa

here in our community you can have 3 visits to the food bank in a year and they share information between banks, so just because there is one doesn't always mean you have access, plus they don't usually give essentials such as t.p, toothpaste, (or baking soda as a sub) or "real food" here you get a box of mostly bakery goods that didn't sell that kids are excited about and enough real food for two meals. Food banks really are there for one or two days, but you can not survive on it. You aren't even guaranteed beans and rice each time.
Just want y'all to know this is a friend of mine and she really is something else. Always trying to help others . A lesser person would have folded long ago. I admire her incredible strength and her gentle spirit. Only wish I were in a position to help her out.
you rate 5 stars in my book good luck,sometimes life is very hard and i know how it feels to be down and out. there have been many times that i had to choose betwwen bills and buying food. cant let the babies go hungry. but still need the utilities on too. i wish i had money to help with the needed items, but unfortunatly ny bills gobbled up all the paycheck this week. I suggest you seperate your wish a smaller amount say 200.00 for groceries and household supplies and place it as a nice wish because it is a need. and then a seperat wish for help with utilities because that iis also a need. smaller wishes are sometimes granted faster then large. good luck to you.

You had to have NOT worked in the recent years past, before your disability, prior to have earned enough credits to "qualify" for SSDI. That goes ONLY by your work history and earning level amount, so apparently you had none. Your assets don't matter. You can be Bill Gates and get SSDI if you have WORKED and paid into the system.
SSI is the one that is based on assets. So that says a lot about you, you apparently haven't worked for a great many years not to even qualify for SSDI.

Authentic COACH Black Mini Bag Purse
This is the cutest little Coach bag! I have heard it referred to as "the Casino bag", but I'm not sure what it's really called. This is from my personal collection, and has only been used once or twice. There is a small scratch on the front of the bag (see pic). Other than that, it's in really great pre-owned condition. The strap is long and thin, and clips on, so it can be removed altogether so the purse can be used as a clutch. There's one open flap pocket on the front of the bag, and the bag closes by zipper. COACH creed is inside the front flap pocket, and the COACH hangtag is attached. Manufactured in the United States from tanned cowhide. Measurements are approximately: 5 3/4" high, 8 1/2" high, and 2 1/2" deep. The strap measures approximately 55" from clip to clip. I've cleaned the bag and conditioned it so it's ready to be used by the winning bidder! NO RESERVE! ** Shipping Fee Includes Insurance For Your Protection! **

Authentic COACH Black Mini Bag Purse
This is the cutest little Coach bag! I have heard it referred to as "the Casino bag", but I'm not sure what it's really called. This is from my personal collection, and has only been used once or twice. There is a small scratch on the front of the bag (see pic). Other than that, it's in really great pre-owned condition. The strap is long and thin, and clips on, so it can be removed altogether so the purse can be used as a clutch. There's one open flap pocket on the front of the bag, and the bag closes by zipper. COACH creed is inside the front flap pocket, and the COACH hangtag is attached. Manufactured in the United States from tanned cowhide. Measurements are approximately: 5 3/4" high, 8 1/2" high, and 2 1/2" deep. The strap measures approximately 55" from clip to clip. I've cleaned the bag and conditioned it so it's ready to be used by the winning bidder! NO RESERVE! ** Shipping Fee Includes Insurance For Your Protection! **
