Have you tried Freecycle? If you search for freecycle groups in your area on Yahoo you might find that someone has a table to give away.

It has become a carry all for all of my husbands' Crap when he gets home from work. It's right inside the door, and I guess the closest place to throw stuff. I can't tell you the last time we actually got to EAT at the table!
