Having a progressive, terminal illness (Primary Pulmonary Hypertension) has completely changed my life.
Most physical activity leaves me extremly short of breath and with severe chest pain. Walking, even a short distance, is almost impossible. I am no longer able to work outside of the house. Finding ways to make money from home has been a real challange - I do a little ebay and am a guide for chacha.com. But I try to remain positive and be thankful for each and every day!
I live with a wonderful person who takes care of everything. But, in today's world it is very hard to make ends meet. With the rising costs of utilities, gas, food , etc. each week seems harder and harder.
Last year a feral mother cat carried her babies one by one over our fence and put them under our deck. It was like she was bringing them to us to take care of. So we did. I was able to trap the mother cat and took her to the vet to be spayed - but sadly she was suffering from lukemia and kidney disease. She did not make it. The 4 precious little furbabies joined our family. They came into our homes and our hearts. They joined our 2 older rescued cats and 3 little dogs (2 Japanese Chins and a Pug). What a family they became. One of the Chins took over as "MaMa" - showing them where they food and water was, and reprimanding them if they did something they shouldn't. Dogs, cats, kittens - all loving each other. They still all cuddle and fall asleep holding each other.
Several months ago - we heard a heart wrenching cry coming from behind the fence. There was a tiny black kitten, about 5 weeks old, stuck in the briar bushes. She had cuts on her face and paws from the thorns and was very scared and hungry. She too joined our little family. All the other cats and dogs took her in - grooming her and showing her around our house.
My wish is to be able to pay the vet bill for our 5 kittens. It is for their shots and their spaying and neutering. The charges were put on my friends credit card and it would really mean alot to me if I could help pay it off.
Our "furbabies" help me to cope with my illness. They always manage to make me smile - even on the worst days. Please help me with my wish! Thank you! (more)

Aaawww. those kitties are so cute! Good luck to you!
We could learn a lot from animals. Good luck
they are WAY cute!
What precious kitties! Those three could be triplets! LOL There is a feral momma cat at my mom's house. She had a litter of 3 kittens last year. It always amazes me the different colors kitties come out as - her litter produced 1 solid gray, 1 solid black, and one solid orange - funny considering she is multicolored - not a calico or a tortie.
Anyway, we were able to trap all but the black one and get them fixed, etc. We are hoping the black one is a male - unfortunately we have not seen him since right after getting his brother and sister fixed. Hope he is ok!
Best of luck to you!
I, too, do cat rescue work. I just received a skinny six-week old kitten who was trapped in a wall. I took in her sister and brother approx. 2-1/2 weeks ago and they are doing great! I also have 5 rescue cats who are mine now.
Keep up the good work!
