I am 25 years old I have been with my fiance for over a year and a half he really is my soulmate.
In the short time we have been together we have been through a lot. I recently overcame cervical cancer and for that I am thankful to god everyday. Because of the cancer we had to cancel our first wedding. We lost over $1700 (to us that is a lot) we tried and tried to get the money back from whom we have given deposits too. I even told them why I had to cancel and they would have cared less. We have both been working hard to finish what we had started but because of the cancer it has left my immune system weak and I am always getting sick so working full time for me is getting harder and harder. Which means money is becoming tight and some of the bills are only being paid to keep things going so at the end of the month having money to pay for a wedding in August is becoming harder and harder. I am trying to do most of the things myself and if I cannot do it myself then I am searching over the net to find a way to do it cheap. Our parent's are trying to help when they can but it's also hard for them as well. I know some of you may think we should just go to the courthouse but to me it's not an option. I want to marry this man I love in the right place at the right time. He could have lost the one he loves just as I lost someone I loved once before. I would just like a day with the one I love and my family. I feel this would help bring my spirits up. It's so hard because in life you never anticipate this stuff from happening to you or anyone you know. I have dreamed of this day all my life and to have it taken away by cancer I am NOT going to let that happen. I will make this happen at all cost! Good luck, I know how hard it is to try and pay for a wedding when you are on a tight budget and getting married at the courthouse isn't an option. I know where you are coming from but thank God I haven't had to cancel my wedding because of a battle with cancer. I have health issues that keep me from working too. I am counting on this site to give me a bit of help for my wedding too :) Congrats and I hope you have a great wedding day and life!
