As you can see from the picture, I have one curious baby.
His name is Evan and he is 10 months old.
Every time I go into the kitchen to load/unload the dishwasher, prepare a meal or sweep and mop, he follows me. I'd like to think he follows me because he misses me, but thats just not the case. He follows me because he feels the need to stick his hands where they are not supposed to go. I can't even load the dishwasher until he is asleep, because if he follows me in there, he sticks his hands all into the dishwasher, touches all of the goopy mess that lands on the door and spreads it all over himself and the floor.... unless I pull him away 10 times and tell him no. Which I can do, but then it takes me 10 times longer to do the dishes! Also its a safety issue, and you know if your a mom, you only have two hands.
I just want to be able to clean my kitchen.... in peace.
Below I have posted the link to the "perfect" baby gate! The entryway to my kitchen is wider than a normal doorway, so I require the Extra Wide gate. We just don't have the funds to go buy one right now and it doesn't seem to matter what we put in front of the entryway to block him. My adventerous baby always finds a way!

I wish they made TEENage gates-only instead of being curious, they follow us around asking for $$ that they know we dont have!!!!
Good luck! We installed a wide gate on our kitchen too, and it saved a LOT of headaches and time.

I gave you my five Angeldet! Good luck with the baby gate though. My little girl was just as adventurous when she was a toddler. We lived in an apartment that had an older electric stove with push buttons on the front. Well we tried baby gates after she pushed one of the buttons and we caught her at it. Well I think I tried every baby gate on the market. She always found a way over it, through it, or how to knock it over. I hope your little guy is not as inventive! :)

When the twins were little, I never would have gotten the dishes done or clothes washed if the baby gates didn't help me out. Not too much to wish for at all! Good luck to you. Your baby is adorable!!!

Yep, this is a 5 star wish for sure, been there, done that, got the frayed nerves to prove it.
I have a gate but it is not big enough for your kitchen :( Though have you thought of putting him in a play pen for just that amount of time it takes to clean the kitchen? which is probably not to long!
