I'm asking for any amount possible to help pay off the transmission repair on my Mom's van.
I stupidly believed that my brothers were taking care of "all the fluids" and things. That was the agreement. I would keep gas, oil and water in it, they'd do the major stuff. (Transmission fluid changes, oil filter changes, all that stuff you really can't do from a wheelchair.)
They weren't. So, the transmission went. And off we went to AAMCO.
Why is this naughty? Because if I go Total Bitch on the other members of the family that owe Mom money, then it won't be as big a problem, assuming they'd pay something toward their debts. I think I am too sick to do it. That sort of confrontation makes me physically ill for days on end. (Neuroendocrine cancers dump all kinds of nasty stuff in your system in response to anger or fright.) I'm just not able to face up to doing the pushing and demanding that needs to be done, and if Mom tries, she ends up moaning and wailing at me about it...same results.
Every penny I don't have to force out of my family is one less day of being ill for me. If I were "a GOOD daughter" I wouldn't have "let them" take advantage of her...AND if I were the Good Fairy, I'd have wings a magic wand and STILL no better luck at getting her to stop and think before she gives them whatever she has, then expects me to fix it.
I don't expect this to get near winning, I just wanted to be able to tell the family "I tried everything, even begging on the internet, so pay her what you owe her and DON'T spend $200 on new CD's this month, OK?" Maybe I need to just break their legs... (more)

DeeDee, we could likely round up some leg breakers here so that you don't have to go making yourself ill.
My brother's 6'6" or more, and his kids that owe Grandma (girls) average out at 6 foot or more. We'll need BIG leg breakers!!

Welcome to the World of Weird!!
I had to take Mom to the doctor today. So I load up my wheelchair (I'm in a 'bad spot' right now, and just the cane doesn't cut it at the moment) go and get Mom--load her manual chair in the van, she comes out in her electric chair, gets in, andI take the electric back inside, pushing my manual chair, so I can get back. Re-load it. drive to the doctor's office building. No handicapped parking available within about 150 yards (that's one and a half football fields), so I pull up to the front, unload my chair from behind the seat, go to the back, unload Mom's chair, take it to her, get her in the building and go back to move the car.
I told her to just call my cell phone to pick her up rather than try to come in with her. I go find a place to sit in the shade in the car.
I get back to pick her up, and...No Mom!! She'd called, said she'd be at the info desk watching...No Mom?? I drag out my chair to go in to find her, and a security guard comes to tell me I can't leave the car there. As I am trying to explain, out comes Mom. And the security guard watches as I lift a large-size heavy duty wheelchair from the ground into the back of the van. Then I go to load mine, stand, fold, start to lift---and pass out.
Guess who had a mild heat stroke!!
But, the ambulance guys loaded my chair and i finally got to take Mom home.
I'm serious about selling off Mom. I can't afford her physically anymore.
Anybody want an 81 year old?? She comes with a Big Green Van!!!
Where's Scotty with that transporter when we need to beam nearer each other???

(At least they put in a new starter, so I don't have to go whack the starter with a pair of pliers to get it to catch now!!)
