I want this money to donate to my local Planned Parenthood.
They help people with birth control and pregnancy planning. Many of the wishes that I see on RHF result from the costs of child rearing. Children are special and wonderful but I wish to see that every child that is born into this world is wanted and cared for. (more)

I am not on welfare and I have 3 children I am not a millionare either. I love my children dearly...
This wish disgusts me. I have 5 beautiful daughters and for you to make comments like this is unbelievable. My Best friend wants nothing more than to be a mother but she physically can't but there are woman out there that can help her to achieve her dream. Also, I have posted 2 wishes here for help for baby furniture the reason being was because after my daughter Faith was to big for her crib and things we got rid of them. That was 2 years ago. When we found out that we were pregnant with Camryn we started looking for new things, but unexpectedly she arrived in this world 16 weeks to early. Before her arrival her father was seriously injured and couldn't work and we didn't know if he would ever be able to again. His right arm was cut by broken glass that was negligently left in a window. He COMPLETELY severed his muscle in half, severed three artieries,including he ulna artery, two tendons and the ulna nerve. The ulna nerve was missing a 3cm piece and he had to undergo 3 seperate surgeries to attempt to repair it. I was pregnant then and I suppose that because we had to go on welfare for a time that makes me one of the people that should have stopped having babies! My children mean more to me than anything else in this world and My fiance feels the same way. He has been more like a father to my 3 older children than their own father. I would die for my children and you sit here and critize me for asking for help because money is tight right now. Let me tell you something Steve is in severe pain everyday with his hand but he's back working busting his ass for our family. He is a general contractor and can build a house from the foundation up. Even in as much pain as he is in he goes to work everyday. I agree with you about educating people about birth control and what there options are. I don't agree with abortion unless it was rape incest or death to the mother but there are always extenuating circumstances. Just because someone gets pregnant who doesn't have the financial means to care for a child doesn't mean that there isn't someone out there that would be able to. The only way that my friend will be able to have the chance to be called mommy is if someone signed away all legal rights to a baby and she was able to adopt the baby. Education is very important but this is slander to all mothers in my opinion.

whoever thinks you "make money" having kids on welfare do not have any of the facts. "And most of those kids end up in foster care" and where in the world did this fact come from? Poor women love their kids as much as children do! Sorry, I am just very upset about the wording of this wish. Women need choices, not judgements

I think all children are born for a reason, and they are all a gift from God, no matter the circumstance. But I do understand that there are women out there that are constantly having children, who can't afford to, and are taking no steps to prevent that. In turn, only making their lives 10 x's harder. Most don't know about the planned parenthood steps because they were not educated. I don't think it's saying those who have kids and have rough times, because everyone with children has rough times. I think it's saying, more so, that people shouldn't continue to have children, if they can't afford them already.
At least I hope that's what it means....
We were not on hard time's when we had our kids but when are duagther was born we had to change lifestyles to take care of her we lost a second income when I was pregent becuase I could not work due to compilcatons. Her life was more important then money! My niece just had a baby even though she could not afford him He is a blessing ! All children born are wanted, just some are not wanted by the birth mother , but somehere there is someone wanting to be a mommy and daddy waitng for those unwanted little bundles of joy!
Yes I support planned patrenthood, they do very good things , but they do not pay women to become sterile This offened me a very pro-chioce person and very pro planned parenthood supporter!
I am not voting on this sorry, my daughter has a beautiful son who is almost a year old she adopted him and he is a gift that some one diddn't plan for.

ok, that's just hurtful and offensive. this is a website for both desires and needs, and you're basically ragging on people who've fallen on hard time. the Title of your wish is NASTY. it implies that those of us who aren't millionaires shouldn't have kids. Change the title at the least.

See, I'm an advocate of family planning myself, but I'm torn because the way you worded this was outright offensive to many users. I have to ask, did you actually want to win so that you could donate, or are you just stirring the pot? I'll honestly have much more respect for you if it was the latter because if you think insulting a large portion of the population of this site is an effective tactic, you need to take a page from my little sister and wish for a new brain!
she want to raise some money for somebody (as many other wishes). if somebody does not agree he can downvote.

thats just wrong.. people dont have kids if they dont intend to take care of them but sometimes LIFE happends and they hit a rough spot. it usualy dont last long and they recover and the kids dont suffer. thats just like telling every homeless person since they are poor they must die... NOT FAIR.. GET REAL
I think that many people forget that Planned Parenthood provides a valuable service for lower income and uninsured women. They saved my life. Family planning & counseling are only a few of the services they provide. They also offer mammograms, cancer screening, HIV screening (among other STD's) and rape counseling.

maybe you can describe here what Planned Parenthood do and how are they promoting parenthood and it's planning.
You know, I think birth control should be affordable and accessible to anyone who wants/needs it, but the title of this wish is extremely off-putting.
Not all of the people making wishes for their kids had those kids in hard circumstances, either. Bad times can fall on anyone. One minute you're financially stable and then an accident or illness could take it all away from you and leave you clothing them in handmedowns and eating mac and cheese five nights a week, so try thinking before you speak.
Lastly, money isn't what makes a good parent. Love is.

I agree, perhaps not in the way you worded it but I do believe that Planned Parenthood should have more funding to help women with things such as birth control and abortions.
There are far too many women of every age who get pregnant simply because they have no access to birth control or lack the education that organizations such as planned parenthood provide.
As a young woman myself, I could not handle a child financially or emotionally right now and have gone to this organization for birth control.
Preganancy planning does not always mean abortion, and abortion is not always wrong. Good luck to you with this wish.
I can't believe you word a request like that. I have one daughter. So you are saying that since I was working in a well paying job when I had her, she has the right to exist? And that now due to circumstances of my husband's health and choosing to leave that job to care for my ill and disabled parents, that she no longer has the right to exist? Life changes all the time and sometimes not for the better. I am all for planned parenthood but to say that a child should not exist simply becuase the parents are poor is wrong. My father worked hard all his life as a manual laborer in a warehouse. He did not make much money but he had four children. We were all happy and well cared for. So I should not be here either by your statement nor my brother and two sisters.
Planned parent Hood is a bunch of killers, they do not offer alternative they only offer abortions. There are so many women out there that would love to have a baby and can not and to think that someone wants to give money so a group can kill babies that is down and out wrong. Pick a better cause there are a lot out there.

You got to be joking !!!! This is so wrong and down grading to the people here. I don't believe in Killing a unborn child in no way, I believe if people didnt want the child they are having god would have not gave it to them in the first place. People can have kids I don't care what they can give to there kids as long as the baby's are loved thats what counts.
There are people on here with more kids like what 8 kids they may have not had much but I bet anything them kids had love. There is not way in the world that I would give this wish a 5,4,3,or even a 2 , you are not talking to teens here you are talking to adult who love and care for there children. I for one would love to have another child after Josh gets back from Baghdad. There are people here that cant even have there own who would be glad to take a unwanted child. I am not voting on this, as the vote I would give would not help your cause. I have six beautiful children! When my first three were very small, my husband at the time left me for another woman. Things became very difficult financially, but it was not something I could have ever planned for. We struggled and, if not for my wonderful parents and siblings, we would have needed something like this Robinhood fund from time to time. Despite our struggles, I earned two university degrees, and I have since remarried and had three more children. We have no problems providing for all six of our children. I love each and every one of them, and we probably spoil them with too many things a bit now. I just could not imagine my life without even one of these children.

I also thought of this as I've been reading and voting on wishes, but it's not my place to judge these families. I have volunteered for Planned Parenthood on my campus, its a great agency, but you have to respect the fact that as mentioned before, religion does play a big part in some peoples lives and they might not want to use any method of birthcontrol. The only reason I gave this wish 5 stars is because I approve of Planned Parenthood, but I DON'T approve of the spirit of the wish. Circumstances may change at the drop of a hat, and it's not fair to judge without knowing each person's history.
I am somewhat offended by this wish, because I feel as though it is aimed at people like me. One of my wishes is for help with bills and stuff, but we all end up in situations. I do not always need help raising my children, and have done a lot for them. I was a single mother for over 5 years and doing just fine most of the time. Things happen, in my case, I have situations with my daughter now, causing me to struggle with holding a job. I agree with jterry67 that this wish could cause a huge debate, because I know there are plenty of people that do want, love and care for their children, and just end up in tough situations.
