My daughter of 15 is highly talented in making movies, picture things and so on.
She really, really needs a Mac to take her talent further and give her the opportunity to succeed in this area. (There are only so many programs on a Windows PC to help her)
As a single mom of 5 (two are grown and moved out) it has been difficult to provide any type of "extras" for my kids.
My daughter is a very "good girl" and deserves a Mac that I am unable to provide her. She is working babysitting this summer and saving up for a new Mac. The one she wants is $999.99. I would love to help her with this. She is so determined to have one and it would be so great if I could match the amount of money she saves.
This "YouTube" is one of her favorite songs. She does dream big too!

My daughters are talented in music and art so I know what it is like. I hope she gets her wish. I am glad she is working for it too, because that means she really wants it:) She will be blessed.

I support your daughter getting a laptop of her own but while I like macs you can get more bang for your buck from a pc laptop. I use both macs and pcs and I don't think it's a fair assessment to say that you can only go so far with a PC for the most part you can get the same amount of editing programs for both. Having worked on both a television and radio station I can tell you for certain that none of their computers were macs.
I don't know that much about it myself. I just know what I've heard. My daughter has an old outdated PC and wants to purchase a new one for herself. The computers she has used at school are Macs (I think) and they are equipped with an abuncance of programs for music, video, and picture editing. I just know what she believes to be true :-) And of course since she is so willing to work for it I would love to be able to help her wish come true.
(I don't think she wants a laptop.)
