My fiancee left January 11th for Boot camp in Knoxville, TN and then didn't get a graduation, but went straight to AIT (advanced
individual training) in Aberdeen, MD. During boot camp, I wrote and mailed at least one letter a day and also sent cards. I waited VERY patiently by the phone every day so I wouldn't miss one rare call. Now that he is in AIT, he has a cell phone, but neither him nor I have the money for a visit. I'd really like to see him and he can take overnight passes on the weekend. He graduates in another two months and we are hopefully going to have the money for me to fly out and see that, but I really would like to see him before that time because it's getting really hard for him to believe that I really am waiting for him. It's getting really hard for me too, being by myself all the time. I work, but the money I make goes to my bills and his money goes to his hygeine products and such (they don't make as much as you would think). One night isn't much, but it would help reaffirm our decisions and make our relationship stronger and ease the pain of being lonely. He has a 90% chance of going to Korea when he graduates so any extra time we can spend together will help. (more)
