I have decided NOT to repost my wish in favor of Tracy's wish....
Here is her wish, but I have lowered the amount to $500.00 because $50,000.00 is inconceivable on RHF. There are alot of generous people on here, but none that well off... Just speaking honestly... If I could, she would have all the money and the surgery already. But this is all I can do for her for now.... Please read this entire wish AND go to her profile and read her Bio...
Tracy has lived a very hard life and, at 40 years old, she is wanting to give up... PLEASE DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN to a very sweet woman who has been there and voted on everyone's wishes.... PLEASE... Her story is below.....
Let me begin by saying I have 2 children and my husband is disabled. I have always been the person to work and take care of my family. But I have been out of work since July 2006. I had neck surgery in 2003. They fused C6-C7 and now my fusion has come apart and I have deteriorating discs, above and below. I can't have the surgery I need because I have no insurance and I have applied for Medicade but my husband draws to much SSI. I have also checked with our local group of which helps people that has no insurance, they can't help me because until I pay the only Neuro Surgeon of whom is on their list. I have also applied for disablity but because a doctor has not said I am disabled they can't do anything either. I can't even get in to see a Neuro Surgeon unless I have the cash money to pay for what is needed to be done. I am able to do nothing except lay in bed or sit in my recliner. I have tried everything I know to do.... Please help me.............If anyone out there has any suggestions of what else I can do, I am desperate........Tracy Ledford Gainesville, Georgia.

Thanks every one for your support. Congrats to the well deserved winning wishes. We didn't quite make it this time but I am not going to give up, Please look for my wish next week. Good luck to you guys. I am keeping you all in my prayers and love. Hope she gets this wish, I know how she feels about the hospitals, i was in that boat before (not for her reasons) but they gave me bad treatment cause i had no coverage the first time i was at hospital.

I have to agree with MEBrewster. What a wonderful man to put someone elses needs before your own.

I have to say that you are one heck of a guy. I am so proud that you are doing this for someone else and trying to help her out the best you can. I sure do hope that her wish will be granted so that she will have a start on getting the help she needs. This just is not right that because her husband is on SSI which that means he gets Medicaid automatically, that she can not get it. This is our government at work for you. They should be able to give her emergency Medicaid to at least pay for this surgery that she so much needs so that she can return to work.

You have fallen between the system cracks.
however, in some states, you cannot be turned away from ER and medical help
because of no money or insurance.
Their are churches that ill bend over to host benifits for you to raise the money and help you need. Start hitting the doors of God.

It's ridiculous that the govt would say ANYONE draws TOO MUCH SSI. I really don't think that's possible. People on SSI don't even get enough $$ to live on, and these govt people really need to get a clue. Tracy's got my 5 stars, of course.

I am not from your state so don't know the resources down there - there is a group called neighborhood legal and they are a pro bono group that helps people with the tangle of goverment support and directs and supports tehm as the ytry to get help - I don't know if they exist down there. Catholic Charities help an offline friend of mine find the medical assistance that she needed and couldn't find thru calling gov.agencies. here's my 5 - wish I could do more but i am disabled as well

Gee that was lovely to hear. My fiance is going in to have his neck fused together in the same place. He has disc degenerative disease, and two of them are calapsed onto each other, and pinching his nerve that controls his right arm. He has to go have the surgery done, and is nervous as hell, I keep telling him not to be, but now maybe he has a reason to be. I am sorry to hear everything that your going through. I know how hard it can be to fight SS. I have been doing so for 6 years now. My doctors including a specialist that my lawyer sent me to, whom I couldnt then and still can not pay, have said that I am disabled, and SS still keeps denying my claim. I hope you get what you need. I hope they can straighten this out, and DONT give up. Everything happens for a reason, God is just testing your faith, and you'll be much better soon. When voting starts, I'll give my five. This is a very worthy cause.
Wow! I am speachless! I have made so many great friends on this site. I know at first I asked for $50,000.00 for the entire surgery but then after that I wished for $9,500.00. That is I know alot of money it might as well be a million dollars for 99.99% here. But, this is what I need to pay for my previous surgery so I can go thru a company called Health Access. They will pay for everything 100% because of my income. I know RHF doesn't give but $500.00 away for naughty and nice but if I could get $500.00, well all I can say is every penny counts. I have also applied for my Social Security Disability and have been turned down once already. I hear that is not uncommon. One person I know she filed for her Mom and was turned down 12 times and on that 13th time she was approved. So with all that said I will continue to reapply until they say YES!!! Thank you for everything everyone has done and will do. Lots of love and prayers to each and everyone and thier families. I can't say thank you enough!!!!!!!! Tracy
