Thanks to the ones who sent yarn I have made about 55 hats so far..
I NEED fabric badly-- I have gotten a call from a
shelter requesting more items..

I am going to try ONE more time, then put it to rest..
Since I dont have sick kids, been in a car accident, lost my home, had utilities shut off, etc I had better leave the $$$ to those who REALLY need them..

I am disabled and this is something I can do to keep me busy and help others at the same time..
NOW I am in need of fabric to make security blankets for the children in the Homeless Shelters, Receiving blankets from Preemie to Newborn sizes for the Hospitals,
Lap Robes , Walker and wheelchair tote bags for the elderly and handicapped in the Nursing Homes
I also donate to the homeless families in my area, Hats scarves, small quilts etc
If you could just send 1 yard of Cotton or flannel fabric it would make a GREAT difference..
A $2.50 donation would buy a yard of fabric for me to make items or get a yard of batting to make the quilts..
One yard of fabric will make 6 Cool Ties to send to our troops..

My mom used to sew and I had some material but guess over the yrs I must have given it away and forgot otherwise you could have what I had leftover...My wish for you is that those that sew and have scraps left over to send them to you for your quilts for the elderly...

You have been at this type of thing for a long time and I am just starting. That is cool. It is nice that you donate to the needy to. When I get a quilt made that is most likely what I would do, but it seems like it is going to take forever, LOL
