My big brother Jonathon is a LCpl in the United States Marine Corps(That's him on the left).He is stationed in Jacksonville,NC
at Camp Lejeune, he will be going back to Iraq for his 3rd (and hopefully last) stint since he joined the Marines about 3 1/2 years ago.
He will be leaving sometime in November and for those of you military family members you know how hard it is to book a hotel and get a cheap flight to any base near a deployment..you almost have to book everything 5 months ahead to garuntee a room.
Every year I have been there when he left for Iraq and when he came back..my mother usually pays for the majority of my trip because I could just fly to Tennessee and go with them the rest of the way but this year my mom can't really afford to drag me along.And Louisiana is a LoOong way from North Carolina.
I wouldnt miss seeing my brother for the world and on top of that I havent seen him since he got married!I am extremely close with my brother he pretty much raised me since I was "knee high to a grasshopper"lol.I love him more than anything and miss him so much when he's gone and I only get to see him a once or twice a year and I can't imagine not being there for him.I 'm sure there is more deserving wishes out here which is why I'm starting so early I don't want to win over something that someone really needs...
Also, all of the money I have leftover (if any) after the hotel (trying to get a cheap one)and flight (I can cover food)...whatever is left if I win or anyone donates...you have my word as a Christian girl that I'll donate every cent right back to wishes on here, because all I need is the flight and hotel the rest comes back to where it came from like it should.
I will even post receipts on what everything costs!! LoL

I hope you will get to see your brother before he goes. My husband is at a mob site not far from your brother and will be leaving for his 2nd tour. I know how hard it is not to be able to spend a little time with them before they go. Did you know that you can bye an advance greyhound ticket for like $30.00? You can also ask your brother if he can get you accomadations on the base for something like $12.00 a night. I hope this helps God Bless!
