I want to bless my children with a wonderul, lasting memory.
LAST time running this wish but I have changed it a bit this
week. I love them so much so I keep trying!!!!!
I am a single mom of 5 spectacular kids. 3 children (ages 15, 12, 9) are living at home with me. My other two are grown and live on their own.
I have been trying so hard to give my children a very special weekend away from our teeny, tiny apartment this summer.
My kids have been through so much in their short lives. I refuse to write our tragedies for all to read in an attempt to have my wish granted.
I will say that my children have some very bad memories of how our lives used to be. I want so bad to give them good memories to hang on to. :-)
Originally I was asking for $500 to stay the weekend in a cabin on a beach. I have changed the amount because the place that I want to go also has campsites. Now, camping will really cause a lot of pain for me physically BUT if it helps me get closer to giving these kids a great weekend to remember then I will deal with it.
I have listed below the cost for 3 nights of camping, food, and gas to get there. Also, I have a link of where I want to take them.
I know there is nothing needed in this wish...but it is a wish. I'm not wishing to wisk them away on a plane to some extravigant place. This is just for a weekend on the beach where we will be able to spend quality time together making new, lasting memories.
Please help me make this wish come true for my children. They have been through so much and I really want to be able to truly bless them this year.

I hope that you and your kids get your weekend away! I also hope that in the meantime, you can find creative ways to entertain yourselves. I used to often take my children to the public library and read stories there. Another idea is to save up toilet roll tubes (the cardboard inside the roll after it's done) and stick two together to make binoculars (if you have no tape or anything to stick them, use one as a telescope... you can go on adventures looking at birds and animals in books or on the computer... or even use them with your imaginations. I know it is hard in a small space. You have my best wishes and my prayers.
