Prayers, blessings and help for this family!
On the 10th of July my best friend received a devastating phone call while we were on the phone together.
She was informed that her brother was involved in a serious car accident. At that time she was still unsure as to what all was wrong. After a few phone calls to the hospital she was able to find out that he was in the hospital`s ICU suffering from swelling/bleeding to the brain, a broken jaw, lacerations to the liver, collapsed lungs, bleeding in the spinal region, muscle damage, broken ribs and other internal inguries. At this time my friend has taken her last bit of savings and has spent that to get to her brother in Colorado.
Her brother had been working out of town due to a contract in Colorado. He and his family are from Louisiana. The night before the contract ended and he were to come home this happened. He does not have any insurance and the family is afraid that if they can not figure something out soon then he will be moved to another hospital. At the moment he is at the best hospital in the area and they fear moving him will only make it worse.

The news story:
Tana Walker, 32, of Dayton, Texas, was taken into custody after being released from Pioneer Hospital in Meeker. She faces charges of vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, careless driving, no proof of insurance and driving without a valid license.
The accident occurred just after midnight Tuesday on Colorado Highway 13 at milepost 21. Upon arrival, State Patrol troopers found a white 2001 Ford F-150 approximately 35 feet off the west side of the highway.
The State Patrol reported that the truck was northbound on Highway 13 when its tires went off the roadway for about 150 feet. Walker over corrected and the truck skidded across the roadway and went off the left side. The truck then traveled off the road for about 85 feet and rolled twice.
A 33-year-old passenger, who wasn't wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover and suffered serious injuries. He was taken by medical helicopter to Saint Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction where he remains hospitalized.
Walker was wearing her seatbelt.

WOW, that is a rough one. So the driver was under the influence, and the passenger with no seat belt. Man what a mess. He will be in my prayers.

Again I wanted to thank you all so much for your support and votes. Yesterday was a very close call as most of you have read on his myspace page. We are continuing to pray for him and hope he pulls out of everything. They have taken him completely out of sedation, but he has yet to respond to pain.
I wished I could update on here but I have been so busy with his webpage and keeping all of the updates there.
We really appreciate each and every one of you for getting this wish where it is. The family also sends their thanks. They are there with him in Colorado and have been on here once to explain the situation. Their time is being spent in the room so they are unable to come on here. I have been taking care of things for them until they get back home. He needs them there with him so I am working in the background. It is just so hard to thank every single one of you. So I just want to give a BIG THANK YOU to everyone.

Wow, what a terrible situation to be in. A man leaves the state to provide for his family and look what happens to him. It's a shame that people work so hard and they can't have insurance for whatever reason. God bless him and his family. God bless you too for helping his family.

You truly have my prayer's for your brother. I am so sorry about his accident. God will provide no matter what. God has the final say in whatever happens in our lives. Just keep praying as I will, give him constance support and love. Good luck. You said this is the best hospital for him and that's where he will continue to get his help. It is already stated by God that this shall be.

I know how you guys feel, I went thru the same thing last june 2006. My husband was involved in an accident and was in a coma on life support for 10 days with a TBI and multiple injuries including most of what he has, nobody can tell what the outcome will be, but with prays and I believe positive thinking and always let him know you are there and talk to him and tell him everything is ok and not to worry you are there and tell him what happen he needs to know, he is probaly scared, he does hear you , my husband woke up and could remeber little things but he said he kept fighting to get home and felt like he was running late coming home from a trip. he is still recovering and going thru another surgery on his leg (his 5th) but he is here and better then ever, so please believe in him he has a lot to live for, I can see how much his family cares and please talk to him and let him know what is going on, not all the details but some. you are in my prays. I wanted to add a great big thank you for everyone who is supporting this wish. The family sends their thanks also. I have been so busy giving seperate updates and answering phone calls and so on I have only been able to do a quick run through of all of the wishes. I have been unable to leave comments and thank everyone on an individual basis because of everything going on, and it has been hard for me to find a free hand when I`m entertaining my 4 month old all day. When she does lay down to take a nap I am trying to update his myspace page with any new information I receive.
I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for your support and prayers. As of now I know that the surgery to fix his jaw went well. They have a feeding tube and a trachea tube in place and he is moving his eyes under his eyelids. Please continue to pray for him for he has a long road ahead of him. I'm sorry, I meant to add that he was just one week away from being at his employer long enough to get insurance. He was air med to the hospital and has six specialist helping him. The hospital (St. Mary's) he's in is known best for people w/brain injuries and we need him to stay here as long as possible. Any funds recieved will be set up in Escro for him and his medical bills will be paid from the account. I just wanted you all to know that because I've donated before and wandered if the money was going in someones pocket to pay the bills or a special account and I promise you it is in a special account w/an overseair. Thank you again from the entire Sullivan family.
This is my brother Emmett whom I love dearly. He went to Colorado on a job and was coming back to Louisiana on Thursday after he got his paycheck. He was in a horrific accident just two days before.
I am here w/him in Grand Junction, CO. He is in ICU and has substantial injuries. What's killing my heart so much is that in 1985 my 7 year old brother was hit by a car and we lost him. Emmett (Wayne as I call him) is all I have left. I'll never ever forget the terror in my mothers voice when she called to tell me what happened to Emmett. I haven't been able to be on the computer because my mind just isn't all here right now and I've been with him at ICU. My best friend Jennie has done so much on the computer side to help him and the gratitude in my heart is overwhelming.
As you can see in the pictures he loves his kids so much and would do anything and buy them anything he could. He never missed a ballgame and the look in Brett and Toris eyes when they see him gives me a lump in my throat. He is divorced and has been for several years now. He was to be married in short time and his future step children loved him so much as did he them. He has a "mini-me" daughter McKenna who lives in TN who is just a spitting image of him and he and her mother have a very special relationship and even though they are miles away they totally raise their daughter together.
I didn't mean to write a book I guess I'm just getting out what I feel in my heart and I miss him and need him so much. I'm going to cry so I will end this but, even if you don't vote for him please please pray for him...we all need him so so much. Thank You
