Texas Medicaid DOES NOT provide equal services for Medicare/Medicaid beneficiaries. Just as I don't know Florida Medicaid, YOU don't know Texas Medicaid. I DO however, know FEDERAL Medicare, and it's 80% payment. Your hate is showing. You need help.

This is a forgiving bunch, but try to fix thinks, OK? And think about limiting the number of wishes to keep from diluting your vote. One nice, one naughty and maybe a 'dollar wish' per week is easier for voters to deal with, and they don't think they've seet it before.

Would you care to discuss this with Dr. Silversmith at NIH?? She's the one that pointed me in the direction of this trial. It's a Phase Two Clinical Trial, it's NOT the trial I am needing money for, it's EXPENSES and they DO NOT cover that, no matter HOW the trial is paid for.

You are misinformed about clinical studies. Dee is not misleading at all.
The following is copied from an application I made to participate in a clinical study that I took part in for Interferon-B in an MS treatment trial.

"Usual or standard of care costs, such as doctor visits, hospital stays, clinical laboratory tests, x-rays and so on, which occur whether you are part of a trial or receiving standard treatment. These costs are normally covered by insurance, if you have it, or by you, if you don't.

Extra care or study-related costs associated with trial participation, such as additional tests that may not be fully covered by the trial sponsor or research institution"

Please read my comment back to Dee. I wasn't trying to say she was scamming. I was making sure she wasn't being scammed. Sorry for the confusion. I have tried several times to get into a clinical trial only to be told at the end I wasn't eligible. I am glad that she will be able to help others. Again, sorry for the misunderstanding. I understand your point Drea. I was in clinical trials at NIH and they paid for travel, food, hotel, everything. HOWEVER it wasnt NCI it was NINDS. But Dee-Dee is interested in one of the many trials that are not paid for and require insuraunce to cover...and many insuraunces wont cover them.

Its an honest misunderstanding cause the whole thing is rather confusing having dealt with them myself, some are fully paid for some arent. Your point about being careful who your dealing with in clinical trials is well taken though, there are some medical frauds not above scaming those sick with cancer.

Sounds like shes researched it though and its legit, but not one of those paid for by NIH.

I didnt see anything accusatory in her post, she was just saying make sure its legit cause MANY-but not all-clinical trials are fully funded by NIH.
