My heart goes out to Shawna and her family right now. That is so sad when a young person's life is cut short. I do hope Ashley will go on her trip. It is probably something that her best friend would want her to do.
Depending on where Ashley is, she might be able to do her own private memorial on the beach and write her name on the beach for Shawna's family?
At my forum, we write the names of angels on the beaches all over the world. We took that concept for a wonderful mother that started this site.

Yup! I woke up to finding out that it has been granted and also an awesome package from Barb. What a great way to wake up. Only thing better than waking up to all that is waking up to my honey being there with me.

I still am putting things together for your grandson. Going to weigh what I have together now and let you know.
Katie is in 10's now. She has curves - Good Lord Help me, its like she gets curvier by the day. We are going to have to sit on the porch with a shot gun. Or like my dad used to threaten my boyfriends..... with a weed whacker LMAO!
Katie can still do 8 in shorts but pants have to be a 10 due to length.
And PLEASE if anyone hears of a good clearance or sale let me know. Drop me a message, email me, call me lol. Cause my dad said we would go right away if one pops up. He is strapped for money as well but knows I have no way of pulling off getting them clothes this year.
They are at that age too. Especially Katie, so worried about style. I need to get her stretchy thick headband things, those cloth ones in different styles because the hair she cut in front is coming back in but it will not look right come school its going to take a while longer. So going to need something to cover it and yet look like she is doing it for fashion lol

I would eat my own arm right now. I think its the cortizone, it may be only in my head but I swear I am hungry all the time. I want some popcorn and pistachios and some chocolate and it really sucks that I am allergic to all of that lol.

I read something somewhere that when babies are just little babies you can start them and I forget what the method is called but basically you hold them over big potty or little potty about 20-30 minutes after eating, having a bottle etc. And through the day at different times. You know how you get to know your baby or toddlers patterns over time well apparently you can start when they are just little babies. They said it is a big money saver on diapers as well.
I am trying it with Dylan, so far no luck but heck its worth a shot.
I need to find that article maybe Michelle (grndma2lia) your daughter might want to try this with new baby. It does sound like it would save on diapers, get them used to potty right from when a baby, then make transition to undies happen a lot sooner and smoother also.

My daughter wears a uniform too. Now is a good time to start looking at the thrift stores as people donate alot of stuff that too small for their kids.
I do look at the sales though so they will have clothes to wear at home and out in public so I'll keep my eyes open.

I'm so sorry. That is one of my biggest fears with my own children. My grandmothers nephew ran over his child while backing out of the driveway several years ago.

I dont know about the sales. Never watch really because talia wears a uniform, so we dont have that issue BUT. NOW would be a good time to post on Craigslist and freecycle, as a lot of people will be going through things in anticipation of buying for their kids for the upcoming school year.

I forgot to put the best deal. I wanted to look at the potty chairs so I can start potty training Madelynne and I found a really nice on on clearance for $6.74! Of course I bought it. Wish me luck I think she is ready. she doesn't tell me shes wet but she does take her clothes and diaper off when shes wet.
