Be advised, the URL for the SCF ChipIn page will change monthly.

Applications begin the first day of each month at 8:00 AM Eastern time.
The cut off date for applications is the 20th day of each month at midnight Pacific time. If your request comes in after the 15th it will be denied.
Voting will begin on the 27th @ 8pm Pacific time and end on the 28th @ 8pm Pacific time.
Notification of winner will take place around the 30th day of the month.

For all those requesting help from our Spare Change Fund:
1.Donors will vote on your application by number only, not name.
    2. If you have won a weekly GoN wish for this month ~ you will not be able to ask the SCF for assistance.
    3. We ask that you specify the actual amount you need, not to exceed $100. Any amount collected that exceeds $100 or the requested amount will be rolled over to the next month. In doing this, we hope to be able to help more than one applicant during some months.
    4. Once we have chosen an individual or family, we will not be able to help them again for a period of one year. (365 days, not a calendar year).
    5. Any registered member of GoN is permitted to apply to the SCF as long as they can produce identity verification.
5a. Applicants will be considered a 'family' if they share an address/ living space and will be limited to one granted application per family per year.
    6. No one can request help for anyone else. Each person must do this for themselves.
    7. Should you apply for the SCF and win, be prepared to fax a copy of your photo ID and a copy of a current bill with a matching name and address on it before the funds will be released to you.
    8. We ask that if you find another way to meet your need between the time you applied and the time of voting, that you withdraw your SCF application before voting begins.

INFORMATION FOR DONORS TO THE SPARE CHANGE FUND:
    1. Anyone can deposit money into this spare change fund, and then be able to vote. Anyone that has made a deposit, contributed an item for auction or contributed a service to raise money for the SCF will be entitled to vote for the individual or family of the month.
    2. Make a donation via the chip-in and put your GoN name on your donation. In order to add your GoN screen name to your donation, you'll have to click on the 'leave special instructions for merchant' link on the Paypal page before sending.
    3. Please do not post any comments on the chip-in "receipt" page that comes up after you send money on PayPal so that all donors can remain anonymous.

    4. If you do not have a PayPal account you can PM Rebelwithkidz and she will give you information on where you can either send a check or money order (cash at your own risk)
    5. Anyone donating an item or service to raise funds for the SCF should PM rebelwithkidz that information so you can be added to the donor list and allowed to vote.
    6. If a donating member can not be reached at the end of the month, we will make attempts to send them an email and/or PM and if we have their phone number we can make a call. After that, if we still can't reach that person, we will have to make a decision without their vote.
The chip-in page will change URLs each month so, watch the forum for the announcements.
All applications will be distributed to each contributor at the beginning of the 24 hour voting period.
(All personal identification of applicant will be deleted before donors see the application)
Donors vote by application number only, not name..

    I'm confused by this:

"The cut off date for applications is the 20th day of each month at midnight Pacific time. If your request comes in after the 15th it will be denied."

My fault...I screwed up the editing. Hopefully, when Rebel gets back she'll get it all fixed up.
I believe the new board changed the date from the 15th to the 20th. I missed making the change in one place. LOL...I prolly mucked up some other stuff too.

I asked Doug to change the SCF thing cuz, my name was still on the old one and occassionally I'd still get applications.

LMAO.....trust me, mucking things up is what I do best. ;)
I just noticed one other change I forgot. I have applications opening at Eastern time and closing at Pacific time. Everything should have been changed to Pacific.

I will try for this...I am a newbie here just so desperate dont know what I will be doing for Christmas and beyond. Please read my bio and if you can offer any suggestions I would very much appreciate it. I am not a stupid person but since this accident I have a huge problem with my memory and getting overwhelmed when things I read seem too complicated. I hate being like this and the holidays bring on so much stress anyways. I have very little family left and really need some good friends.

Thank you to who ever started this,
    Laura
    Springfield, Ohio

ps...please feel free to email me anytime..but just remember I am not online daily so if I take a couple days to get back to you do not think I am being rude

I have only just read this - never knew about it! LOL! As a matter of interest, I suppose it is valid only for US citizens?

I don't believe it's only for US citizen's. Although, if you would be the one chosen, it would make getting your money a whole lot easier if you had Paypal.
Otherwise, the cost of an International Money Order and the postage to send it would probably have to be deducted from the winnings.

Thanks, Stormy, I was just interested. I will not be asking for it but as I vote on wishes I wanted to know if international was an option :o)
And thanks Lisa for letting me know the answer was posted. Hugs.

Actually the SCF accepts applications beginning on the 15th of the month and closes to any new apps on the 25th of the month. So the dates are incorrect on this. I'm sorry for the confusion I wasn't around when this got redone.

Maybe you could make up a new notice with all the current info and then ask either doug or travellingguy to unstick this one and sticky the new one so it didn't get confusing for people?
