I cant think of anything other than little samples and trial size things for him to use. Maybe a piece of cloth or scarf with your favorite perfume so it smells like you.

oh the dollar store dog clothes are so cute, they got raincoats too.
I got mine of craigslist for $20 almost new, and got another off freecycle, good condition too, and when I didnt need it anymore I put in on the sidewalk and it was taken within 15 minutes. (more)
