thanx 4 the heads up and concern, yes the ductwork is bad as well. it looks like theives have stolen the copper from the empty trailers. i've contacted multiple contractors from sears to "mom and pop" companies. i've seen the obviously cheaper parts ie: heat pumps, furnaces, etc. but most people will not guarantee or even install other people's supplies, i feel like some people do when they need a car fixed!
my biggest problem with the weatherization program was getting the previous owner to give me a bill of sale, i have my recipt, but this wasn't sufficient, i made an appointment after getting the bill of sale, then was told that it had to be notarized, i thought that i had to pay for this, but was told that my bank would do it for free, now i'm waiting to see them again! i've called dozens of churches, one came out took measurements, and never came back. many people have told me because it is a trailer, they won't help, if i owned the land that it sits on urban ministries (hud in fayetteville) would fix it. many people say that it wouldn't be worth the cost to fix it!
if i did find a $800 unit labor included, it would take till Easter to save that much! i thought if enough people would give me one dollar as a Christmas gift i could get back on my feet but everyone thinks that i am trying to scam them even though i have people at the police station and various churches backing my story up, people won't give me one dollar! i did get $4 thank God, from people who are struggling as well. many brag on their blessings but for some reason will not help or trust me! even a referral to another person could help but... can you tell me what i'm doing wrong?
